  1. I'm speaking from over 37 wonderful years of marriage. Even though she may not share in your hobby, if she truly loves you she may even buy you something for it to show her support some day. It's kind of a reward system. Don't give up! You may even find she has an equal hobby like reading or something. Good luck!
  2. Thanks Mark, I want to try one of the newer Willys kits now. This one was every bit as difficult as I remember. Good luck on yours.
  3. I borrowed this idea from Ace-Garageguy, thanks.
  4. It looks ok to me if that matters. We are moving kind of slow here in my opinion so, I will just say anything to get things moving.
  5. No image Harry.
  6. A few more.
  7. I'm late to the party but, as promised here they are. I have 24 all together, here are a few.
  8. Well done Doc! You knew just where to stop on the mud. I still say the big EYE needs to stay, I love it! Another Masterpiece!
  9. The color is Dupli-Color Burgundy Berry Met. Thanks for the comments!
  10. Thanks for the encouragement Marty, I appreciate it!
  11. Nice examples here, I didn't know it was still going. I may post some of mine later, I think I have at least ten. Everyone says black is such a hard color to paint which makes it more of a challenge to me. My family has 7 black cars in the real world. We look like a bunch of agents or something when we all get together.
  12. Thanks, Richard, Russ and everyone else who has commented.
  13. Thanks guys! Jim, I know you like the shiny . I need to put it away before any thing else breaks! I don't know about you guys but, I'm trying to finish all my started projects before the end of the year. I want to work on a '50 Olds along with some other new offerings but, just don't want to open any more kits till I can finish up some. I want to mark this one off my list. Thanks for all the comments and encouragement here!
  14. I like that! When I was trimming the hood orniment off the sprue I went too far, so I got the idea to customize it. Actually I don't think it would work in the real world. It would probably split the air away from the scoop.
  15. You are right about the seam on the scoop, if you look at the box art it appears on that model also. I think I may look for a donner scoop else where, thanks for the comment. Also I notice a chip in the paint on the front fender I was going to fix. This is a fragile car, the front axel broke, so I pinned it, then the push bar broke off while I was working on that, then the trunk rods broke. Heres another picture when it was still in primer.
  16. Engine.
  17. More pictures.
  18. I tried building this kit as a kid, the old Stones, Woods, Cook version and it was too difficult as I remember. I picked this one up at a swap meet for $10 unbuilt. While fun, it was still a bit of a challenge for me. Just thought I'd share it here. This is only my second Willys ever.
  19. Nice job on the paint, I like the color.
  20. Cool, I like it better than the gangster version! Nice modifications! Does it fly?
  21. Nothing looks better than black on a car in my opinion. I love the '56 and '57's. Nice job on all. I especially love the black and white two tones.
  22. If you were'nt the master at weathering, I would say leave it shiny and clean the tires. The eyeball needs to stay with. Another master piece, I love it!!!
  23. It's REAL or a really good model so, I'm going with REAL.
  24. That is some eye popin paint Doc !!! Poor EYEGORE. This is really coming together for another masterpiece, I love it!
  25. I keep thinking of "Grave Digger", now that you mention the green paint I'm thinking about it even more. I can't wait to see the painted body!
