  1. Maybe they don't have so many lawyers in Japan working on legal problems, copyrights and so forth holding things up

    Salt Rod

Perfect! Just the right stance, love it!
  3. I guess I'm kind of backwards on this, I always buy the car first and then start looking for it in 1/25th scale later, usually after getting rid of the car. I'm building a collection of cars I once owned. Do you think they will ever make a kit of a '40 Plymouth Sedan?
  4. Now your talking! That's what I was going to suggest.
  5. I can't believe this is still going! I thought this thread was started by Harry just for people who were bored and sitting alone at home on the American holiday, It entertained me yesterday. Now it looks like people are slinging mud all over the place. My question still is, how many of our plastic model car kits are still made in America, if any? Does anyone know? Does anyone care? Just wondering. No offense to any other countries, please! Let's all be friends on here. Oh yeah, and Canada you are part of America!
  6. I like your idea. I have a long list but, sounds like you already have one.
  7. Just for comparison here is a recent build on the bench then with the paper background added. ( I'm not trying to show off my model here .)
  8. I have been using poster board (more like thick paper) purchased for 35 cents at Hobby Lobby. You can get it in about any color. It does make a difference. Also outdoor shots under overcast sky helps. I set up a small table and curve the paper/board up against the house before placeing a model on it. Hope this helps someone.
  9. I like this one, I've got to have one!
  10. Thanks Mike.
  11. Who makes these and what scale is it? Is it plastic or diecast? Nice model! I need one like this in my colection. Thanks
  12. Made it back from the cook out where we had good old American pork loin wrapped in bacon, it doesn't get any better than that! Been enjoying the fireworks on this thread all day, Thanks Harry. Still wondering, how many "Model Cars" are made right here in the good old USA?
  13. Congratulations on a great model. I have a stock black and white one on my shelf that has become one of my favorites. Seeing yours makes me want to do another in race trim. I've always loved the tri-five Chevys in every body style . Thanks for posting and welcome back!
  14. The AMT '40 is one of my favs. :) I'll be watching you!
  15. Oh and one more thing, I'm not to sure about cheeseburgers either. I remember when Ponderosa Steak House was importing their Beef from Africa! I'm going to a cook out now where I will not be drinking any foreign beer. Happy Birthday America!!!........ Now lets chute off some foreign Fireworks! ....( Before you say any thing, I know a lot of them are made in Tennesee. )
  16. I've always been told "Competition only makes us better" The only problem I see is, the rules are not the same for all of us. We had "it" once and threw it away. God bless America and everyone else!
  17. I once owned a VW Rabbit made in Pennsylvania and took a lot of flack for driving a foreign car!
  18. How about starting one "Where are our American model cars made." Notice I drive a VW.
  19. I use a drill press quite a bit to smooth tread on tires. Also a dremel with all the various bits. Oh, and my drop light to help find all the parts I lose on the floor.
  20. That's a lot of BMF or is it? I'll be checking in!
  21. Watch out for those sharp pointy things! Wagons are always popular at the Derby! I love your play by play! I'll be watching.
  22. Forget the trains! These two are awesome! I want to build them both my self but, as you well no It doesn't take long to get quite a few W.I.P.s. Your railroad skills will come in handy here, especially if you do weathering. Hope to see more of your work soon and welcome.
