  1. The article is a great tribute to a man named Jim Cassidy and his great passion for what we all love here. If there is a Model Heaven he will surely be there soon. What an inspiration! Thanks for sharing this Steve.
  2. ?...I don't get the question but, they are two good looking cars. Are they real or models?
  3. Congratulations any way, no matter what Harry says you add a lot to this Forum with your shiny messages! And your models aren't too shabby either. Good Luck Jim.
  4. .......THANK YOU!!!!!!!.....And nice model by the way!......It's just that simple and I wouldn't even have noticed the out of focus.
  5. Thanks for sharing, and yes I did get through them all! That's a really nice show, I've always wanted to go.
  6. Yhat's a mighty fine looking Pickup!!!!!
  7. Nice looking pickup! How did you get it so low? I Like!
  8. I had to come back and look at this again! You know what I think makes it stand out the most are the "Big and littles", not too big, not too little. It just has the right look. Not to mention the great paint and I really like the pose-able steering. You knocked this one out of the park!
  9. ...It's all about food mostly!
  10. ......You don't, if you are not going to post any pictures. But you know it doesn't take an expensive photo lab now. (Why am I here?.....I didn't even start this thread.) Oh yeah I was just trying to help Cruz. ( And show off my model .......not really.) Thanks for the kind comments about my model anyway.
  11. One of my favorite places to buy them when I was a kid was a local hardware store.
  12. ..........I have done the same thing for years untill, it was pointed out to me on this Forum after I posted a picture on workbenches. Although, parking a car, full of gasoline in a garage with a potential ignition source dosen't make much sense either. I once filled the tank on my '77 VW Bus and found gas all over the garage floor the next morning from expantion in the tank. Fortunately it did not ignite. After that I ceased the practice of topping up the tank to the max.
  13. It used to be an escape for me, now there is no escape, I am retired from everything else. It's funny how hours can slip by unnoticed while I am building, then between builds I am bored to death till I start another. I can sit and watch my wife read a novel for about ten minutes. Then it's back to the bench. I simply love this hobby and it's nice to know I'm not alone. This is a great thread so far Ozzy, thanks for starting it!
  14. Absolutely Beautiful and excellent pictures! Makes you want to get in it and drive it home!
  15. Welcome aboard, can't wait to see some of your work! What other Forum?
  16. I wondered what Jethro ever did with that thing! First time I've ever seen this one hot rodded, very clever! I'll bet Eli May even likes that one! Love it!
  17. It looks good Wayne!
  18. You can go very far with photography here but, what I'm suggesting is useing a cheap 35 cent peice of craft store paper as a background just so everyone else can see your model. If you prefer to look at cluttered benches there is a thread on here for that also. And by the way I am useing a camera purchased at a garage sale for $5, it doesn't take a lot of money either. I have learned most of what I am saying on this forum and appreciate all of you.
  19. I still like the singles best but, that's kind of a neat way to demonstrate different ideas. It's still your dicision in the end!
  20. If you have ever been in a foreign country on one of THEIR National Holidays as an American, they will usually warn you to stay indoors off the streets. This may have been the case here with some of us stepping on foreign toes just a bit. I would like to publicly apologise for any rudeness and invite our fellow modelers back from around the world. I still enjoy the international flavor here.
  21. Those photos bring back memories! It looks like a great little kit, looking forward to the finish line. I like where you are going with the mods.
  22. Nice work! It should run like a Swiss watch now.
  23. I got some today after seeing this, thanks! I was saving my 40% off coupon all week trying to think of something I needed. They were clearing out the '62 Buick Electra 225 for $11.39 also, so I got something I didn't need, another model!
