  1. Thanks for the heads up Chuck. I just started on my first Hudson and have three more on the shelf. Now I can't wait for the second run. I already made the mod to the skirts and it centered the axle perfect. Thanks again.
  2. Putting your name on here is like an artist signing their work is the way I look at it. Be proud of it you have some nice stuff. Besides, it's just a rule on the Forum. We can all get kicked off of here if we don't follow the rules. Hope to see more.
  3. Yeah, can't wait to see more. The colors sound good to me and the smoked metalic with orange wheels sounds good too. For some reason that makes me think of Jimmy Shine's hot rod.
  4. Nice progress, I'm enjoying this build.
  5. I have to keep going back and looking again every time I read a comment. You have a lot going on and I love it all. Nice truck and trailer and tools and shifter and graphics and everything else. Nicely done!
  6. Lowering makes all the difference in the world on this truck.
  7. I like the color choice and the details you are adding. Nice photos! I want to see more, please keep it going.
  8. I've got the stock version with the blue truck on the cover. It looks like I need a custom. Thanks Shelly and Darrin. Nice color combo on yours and I love the whitewalls.
  9. Nice looking Impala!
  10. Keep 'em coming and welcome.
  11. It looks like it could double as a speed boat. Very nice and original.
  12. http://s1181.photobu...bums/x440/rmvw/ Here's mine finished about 3 years ago.
  13. http://s1181.photobu...bums/x440/rmvw/ The animals are a '62 Impala, '64 Goat and the '66 Mustang.
  14. Thanks guys, I am now working on my second car a '65 Malibu. If it's half as fun as the '55 I will be a happy guy. It puts special meaning to a build when it represents part of your personal history I think.
  15. Nice progress, have'nt seen this in a while. This is a great look! I really like the flathead and all the detail.
  16. You have really made this one come to life. I love all the scratch building and weathering. One of the best I've seen.
  17. Thanks Neal, I dreamed of having a car like this from the time I was 12 years old. You are right, yours was very simular. When mine became available from a buddy for $300 I couldn"t resist. He was buying a '66 Nova with the 350 HP . I went with him to order it and pick it up when it came in to the dealer. That's the one I wish I had. The '55 was red when I got it with a new/rebuilt '62 283. I spent the summer prepping it for paint and had a buddy's older brother paint it for $50. The paint was $10. I had worked on this car since I was 14 helping my buddy swap 7 different engines in it. He was tough on them. I learned to drive in it when I was 14 on a country road. Other mods I made were a Grant custom steering wheel, $15, a Fenton 3-speed shifter, a Dixco tac mounted on the dash, cheater slicks, scavenger pipes and of course loseing the front bumper and grill. A 2 barrel carb was retained to save gas, I was in High School. I thought it had the look but, in reality it was a real dog. This was the most fun I've ever had on a model and I would challenge others to build their first car.
  18. Thanks Jeff for posting one of the images. I've been having trouble with this. I wanted to tell more about the car but, couldn't get the pictures to paste. I tried multipal times and failed, became frustrated and quit.
  19. Very nice Jim! Ironically I just tried posting my first ride, a '55 Chevy Del Ray from 1966. Could not get image to paste. (Why do I keep having this problem?) It was the most fun build I've ever had, it brought back so many memories. I still love the old tri-5s.
  20. Another nice one!
  21. Nice paint, keep the eyes poping! I just picked the '48 kit up today.
  22. http://s1181.photobucket.com/albums/x440/rmvw/?action=view&current=017.jpg This represents my first car when I was 16 back in 1966.
  23. Thanks Dr. Cranky for getting this going here. Enjoyed the video and all the comments so far.
  24. Nice combo and I love the two tone.
