  1. I did make a little progress on the '32, started assembly on the interior.Decided to go with fake diamond plate in the bed on the '50.I like these wheels but, I only have two of them.I trimed all the little pieces off the sprue and touched up the paint where I cut them off. Not too bad. Thanks for looking.
  2. Still watching the paint dry. This Boyd's paint is taking way too long. It still feels soft enough for my thumb to leave a print. Normally Testors enamels take around 3 days to dry but, not this color. Still there is something nostalgic about using Boyd's paint, maybe I should just save the can.
  3. Nice looking Galaxie Tulio it looks perfect. It looks like a showroom floor model. I even like the print on the bottom, cool.
  4. Congratulations on finishing it without putting it back in the box, I know your frustration. It came out nice in the end as I knew it would. Are you sure you don't want to start another '57 right now? Good job Andre.
  5. Nice start and it looks like you've got everything going in the right direction. The body cut away just the right amount and white inside, got to have that. Keep it going I'll be watching.
  6. Thanks John. I have tried the one shot and liked it. I am really just trying to use up some of my old paints. How much is enough and what do you do with it? If I need a new color I will buy more, I am sure.
  7. Thanks for the comments guys. I'm still watching the paint dry, in the mean time here are a couple more photos. I decided to give the '50 Chevy a shot so started on engine in the first photo. About half way through I started thinking about a V-8 in this one. See, it's been put away too long. So while I'm thinking about that I started on the interior for the Rat Roaster. More drying time here too, what am I thinking! Okay next build I may go back to Dupli-Color paints Crazy Jim.Thanks for looking.
  8. Here you go. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71654&hl=
  9. Nice model and you made the value on the un-built kits go up for collectors with one less to worry about. This is the one I tried to buy in 1960 but, they were all out so I got an Edsel instead.

    Henry J

I've always wanted to build one of these but, I never heard much good about the kit. You are really making it look good with your mods! Show me the way baby!!!
  11. Nice '40 but, who built it?
  12. Hope this is my last entry this season on this thread with Spring just 9 days away. Thank you one and all!
  13. Beautiful old tow truck, great scratch work. I would love to have one like it on my shelf. You have some talent my friend.
  14. I love it!!! More pictures please!
  15. Very cool I love it. Would like to see a photo of the inside.

    '64 Impala

Nice!! I love the opening trunk, great color and wheel choice. 1964 you are still a young pup to me. Cheers.
  17. Nice fun little project that turned out respectable. Too many words for "I love it!!!!" The tonneau cover is my favorite thing with the logo.
  18. This so describes my wife exactly. Same mold.

    '53 Corvette

You did it justice. Not an easy kit to build and make it look good. Your little details make it pop from the engine to the logos. Nice job Ray. Cheers to you.
  20. The hood looks good finally!!! It will be worth all the grief. I think this is a really cool car.
  21. Leaving the parts on the tree is not really a good practice. I will have to touch up the little spots with a brush and most of the time I don't do it this way. It kind of bleeds over from when I used to paint all my models this way for my son to assemble. He didn't care about the little marks. Sometimes I use a little spot of hot glue where it won't show and reattach the part to the tree. Another thing I will do is after touching up with a brush I will sometimes clear over it and it smooths out. Ultimately the best way is to treat every individual part like it is a separate model I guess. I think I read that somewhere. Thanks for the comments.
  22. Nice job on the '57 Camino! I love all your weathering..
  23. Nice job Terry and welcome to MCM forum. Cruz did you good on the pictures. Love the headers coming through the fenders.
  24. Here's the can so far I have painted the '50 and a '62 Impala convertible. I think there is enough paint for one more. Thanks to everyone else for your comments also.
  25. I already had a green '32 or I would have built it like Stacy's Rat Roaster. Guess I had better get back to the bench, thanks for looking.
