  1. Very nice! Do you mind telling your paint color? Beautiful job.
  2. Here's my solution to the paint problem. I suddenly remembered what decals were for and I say good enough. Also decided I like the moon tank, hey this thing is way over the top for me anyway.
  3. Sorry Jason, I don't know the source of those exhaust. They were in my parts box. The red on the tail lights is just Testors stop light red. Thanks.
  4. The wheels were sticking out a little too much for me so, had to bring them in just a little. Forget about those spacers they give you, they are just wrong. In this last picture you can see the damage to the paint over the license plate, I've been working on a solution since the paint isn't matching. Slightly out of focus.
  5. This is one of the coolest '40 Ford pickups I have ever seen! You got the rust just right. What everybody else said about more pictures and how did you do it.
  6. I got the front end a little lower by losing the front springs and installing air bags.
  7. A few more updates. Got the Rat Roadster almost finished, then when I was installing the license plate I got some super glue on the paint. Now I need to fix that, I've never got one perfect yet.In the mean time while I'm watching more paint dry, I got this old '32 out to make some updates. Installed the new steel hood, no paint yet. A tail light was missing and some of the paint went with it so, my solution was to install these. Also worked on the '50 pickup getting the front end lower by losing the front springs and installing air bags. Thanks for looking.
  8. The more I look, the more awesome it gets. You have a well equipped garage Richard.
  9. It's dry!!!!! Finally, or at least dry enough to handle. Making slow progress and it seems I'm going backwards from the directions. I've already got the windshield installed and the half built engine. Still trying to decide if I want to use the hood or put the tall stacks on the carbs. There are a lot of options with this kit. It is going to be pretty much out of the box. Here's a couple more pictures.
  10. Thanks guys, I'm making a little progress on the Rat Roaster, some pictures.
  11. Hope it wasn't green. We had a pizza with green peppers.
  12. That is definitely a cool body style. I like what you did with it.
  13. Thanks guys and here are a couple more that needed some minor repairs. Figured I wouldn't get a chance to show them off again for another year. The last one is for my Grandson. Thanks for looking.
  14. The canoe is just a garage sale find made out of wood and painted to match the truck. The trailer I made from sprue designed from a real boat trailer I found on a Google search. Thanks.
  15. Welcome back Oscar! I always like the right hand drives.
  16. Yes! On this photo they were rolling away. I had a temporary photo booth set up with a piece of sheet-rock on top of my garbage can this after noon. Thanks for asking.
  17. Here's my contribution to the St. Patty's day. All the green I have, almost.
  18. Good idea for St. Patty's day. I never was a big fan of the '58 T-Bird, until now!!! It looks righteous in that color. I also love the '49 Ford. What the heck, I love them all. I just had to go look, I have nine green models in my collection, I may post some later. This is a great idea! Did I say that twice?
  19. I can tell you've been sick, no rust!!! Way over the top awesome on both, or should I say all three with the addition of Jim's By the way, enjoyed Dr. Cranky vs. The Old Man in MCM issue 174.
  20. Welcome John, looking forward to seeing some of your work.
  21. I worked the night shift for 30 years so it's a hard habit to break. I use to work on my models during my lunch break sometimes or draw cars most of the time. Good part is it doesn't seem to bother my Wife when I get out of bed. I don't know if you count getting on here as building but, it's usually the first thing I do when I wake up.
  22. Nice job Sam, I like the Mercury hubcaps and the two-tone. It looks good in those colors. Also love your diorama.
  23. Thanks Blair, I would have it a little lower in the front also and this is the dropped axle that comes in the kit. I may have to redo that sometime. I kind of do remember when this was the style in the late '50s though, with a slight rake in the front end.
  24. Thanks for looking. I tried to put this on my last post and it deleted the whole thing, so I had to start over. I don't know about that Smiley character sometimes.
