Nice job Mark and this one is on my bucket list. Did you do the little Wheel Horse tractor that came with it? I was at the race in '68 and remember the little tractors pulling the Indy cars around. I eventually got one and it said 500 special on the hood. I was 17 years old at the time. Thanks for the memories.

I am officially jealous. I visited his museum earlier this year, it was my first time at the second museum in the back. What a great place and no trip to Florida will ever be complete without a stop there now. I would love to take in a show with it like you did.

It's gonna look great in that color. I like the interior too and I just love that engine. I haven't started one of these yet but, you are getting me excited.

My photobucket switched over to the new format. I was having trouble navigating through my eight hundred and some photos so, I decided to organize them into different folders for different builds. Little did I know all my photos on here would be removed. I will do my best to restore some of them, I know I had way too many on here anyway. Sorry for all my mess-ups.

So, you really do get on here sometimes, well I hope I'm not too late to send you Happy Birthday wishes in time today. Why do they call you "The Old Man" anyway? ​Thanks Mark, I do appreciate any and all comments. I decanted the paint from a rattle can then shot it through my airbrush without thinning any farther. I forgot about the properties of this paint, it is a kandy pearl enamel. I got a little heavy with it, which probably didn't help the drying time. Lighter would have been better. At first I thought about starting over, then as I watched it dry it seemed to pick up a lot more gloss. While it was doing this it was pulling away at the seams and left them lighter. I'm well aware of the flaws and probably won't be using this kind of paint again soon. I have experienced a lot better results with solid colors, sometimes switching between lacquers and enamels. So far I have not used acrylics, at least not water based. Bottom line, I need to start reading the directions when I switch paints. That said, I am happy enough with the way this one turned out and hopefully this experience will take me to a new level. (Who am I kidding?) I did get plenty of advise on my build thread, mostly to ditch the enamels. Thanks again to everybody.

Thanks Tom for the tip, you should know since they are your decals. I didn't clear this one so, I tried the black marker trick, seems to have worked. In the bright Sun it might show up a little if you look too close. Had to take another out door shot.

This is a great idea! I really love the metal signs. This looks like a good club project. Nice work.

Just finished mostly box stock wearing Boyd's Kandy Purple Pearl enamel. Too much drying time on this paint for me! Easy kit to assemble, only issue was the wheel spacing, do yourself a favor and throw away the wheel spacers they are just wrong. Make your own! All the little decals provided are cool and besides the wheels and tires the coolest things are the front fenders and of course the guitar. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Even though the paint is still green (I know it's purple) I am calling it finished. Maybe in a year or so I can polish it some more. A few pictures here then it's going "Under Glass". Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the comments JB, it means a lot. I always enjoy all your posts. The front fenders in my opinion are as cool as the wheels. It is really difficult getting everything straight and looking right. I am still fairly new at using super glue and love it when it works. I need to be a little more selective about when I use it. In this case I unknowingly got a little drop on my third finger. Box stock spells boring to a lot of builders I think but, I am still having a ton of fun on this build. Every time I post pictures I notice something else wrong with my model. Hopeful I can post corrected pictures in most cases. Funny how things never show up till it gets on here! Notice I drilled holes through the headers for spark plug wires. I'm planing on adding a magneto and wires, a step usually done before the engine is installed. Another chance to mess things up!

I know I don't have a huge following on this one and it is pretty much stock. I think a lot of guys are going to buy this kit for the parts but, I just wanted to build my first one with the parts in the box. I would have painted it green but, another club member already did and I didn't want it to become a competition. One tough thing probably on any '32 is keeping everything symmetrical in front including grill, headlights. axle assembly, wheels, and on this one fenders and moon tank. That's a lot! Hope someone is enjoying this besides me.

Awesome! You are really teasing us with those pictures. I would really love to have a half dozen of those flathead engines like in the first one.
