  1. More pictures.
  2. This is my AMT '32 Ford from a CBP. When the V8 Ford was first introduced in 1932 the previous 4 cylinder engine often had more HP than the V8 because of hot rodders. That and the resent introduction of the Rat Roaster is why I am calling this the Flathead Roaster. This is based on a '50's hot rod. My inspiration came from a photo in a book called Hot Rods. Modifications include a hot rod 4 cylinder with a split exhaust manifold and twin carburetors, '40 Ford dropped front axle with pose-able steering, open trunk with tools, open cowl vent, bobbed rear fenders and Testors Mystic Emerald paint.
  3. There is always something. After I looked at the pictures on here I realized I forgot my steering box. Am I the only one that does this?
  4. I am going to call this one finished today finally. A few more pictures of final detail then it is going Under glass. Thanks for all the possitive comments on this thread and i will continue to watch the rest of you guys.
  5. It kind of makes me sick but, tells the story well. Good job Manny. How would you like to have been the lucky winner?
  6. I just recently purchased my first aftermarket part from Scale Dreams, a skull shifter for $1.50. Besides paint, glue and an assortment of styrene, usually just the cost of the kit.
  7. Ken, did you use the Easy Off on the clear plastic too? I always thought it would ruin the clear. Maybe it was like you said on mine when I tried it, the surface may have already been marred.
  8. Here's mine, it's a mess.
  9. Come on back Derick I'm still rooting for you!
  10. Looks good and the way it was meant to be built. I remember seeing the real one in Indy one time with the ZZ-Top girls signing autographs.
  11. Looking at this makes me want to start all over again. This no longer looks like the original AMT kit. It's starting to look like a real car I would love to own. Beautiful work Bill.
  12. Testors lacquer dullcote and glosscoat have always worked for me when applied over Testors enamels. I am not aware that Testors makes an enamel clear. I thought the same about applying lacquer over enamel when I first started using it. The really weird thing I have found is that cheep lacquer thinner works with Testors enamel better than enamel thinner.
  13. Thanks for sharing this Manny.
  14. Love the Deliveries.very cool.
  15. Nice looking Olds. Love the paint on this one. Good job!
  16. I was some what confused way back when I first learned there were two famous Big Daddys, (about 1964) although I think Roth was the first one I heard about. He did build some crazy stuff. I had the original Tweety Pie model and several others. Thanks for sharing the link.
  17. Nice job Derrick on both.
  18. I thought the Chevy was awesome then I saw the station, wow! I have no other words left to describe but, some more awesome. They look like they were left there to weather about the same time. Love it, nice job.
  19. You got it right! Just the way I remember and the antenna is the crown jewel. Love it!!!!!
  20. I've seen at least 100 like this around here. You got it just right, now where is all the snow?
  21. I love the humpback, is that a resin body? Outstanding job on the detail. I love the AC hoses and your colors always get my attention. Nice job Jim.
  22. Welcome Pierre, I love your Chevelle.
  23. Welcome, you'll like it here, lots of help.
  24. Thanks Gluhead, Some times I need a quickie build, trouble is most of the time they become just another iron in the fire. I'm jumping around on four different ones right now, just need to finish one and this one is getting close, I think. According to the instructions I have two more steps to go.
