  1. I did not find it difficult. A great learning experience though.
  2. Outstanding work. A true artist. I did not know Bruder Do was 1/25 scale. Been looking for something for my 1/24 heavy mover for ages.
  3. OK guys and gals. This is my first SF model. I have alsways been interested in SF models but military modeling has always been my first love. But this time I wanted to try something different and decided to go for it with both feet in. So I decided I wanted to make my first entry into the Sci-Fi arena, a Hovercraft. I had three versions of hover bike that will be building. This one you see here is the first of the three. I called this one ALS(Atmospheric Land Speeder). I wanted something rugged, weathered, beaten up, Badass and interesting to look upon. I loved the Star Wars version, both old and the new version. Someone had scratch built the new Star Wars land speeder which took my breath away. So I decided to scratch built mine in order to get the look and feel of what I was aiming for. The build is partly scratch and modified using parts from different other kits. I alsoused materials like electrical sockets, old astma powder holders and bits and pieces of misc. materials that fit the bill. The result is what you see before you. I had no major plans or drawings but I knew how I wanted it to look in my head. So bit by bit I just tried different materials to see how'd it look, then just glued it in place. ------------------------------------------- Then I came up with design I thought did the trick. So here are pics of my first SCi-Fi build. Hope you all like the build. Still need to weather it in other places and change out the base and make it more presentable. Then it would be done.
  4. Thanks for the confident reply John.
  5. I have noticed that Tamiya's bike kits have lots of screws that are used to assemble their bike kits. So, I am curious to know if you bike freaks only use the screws to assemble the body frames and skeleton chassi? I think it is great because this way, I can paint the parts with ease and just assemble it. But what I was concern about is the seams. Do they go together seaamlessly or does one have to glue and screw the parts together?
  6. I am working on my first converted anti gravity vehicle which i have painted matt black. I know, not exactly the best choice of color to weather. But I have already laid down the color and I would like to know how does one weather a vehicle that has matt black has it's main hull color without looking over done? Some worn look would be nice. Thanks.
  7. Thanks for the compliment gents.
  8. Thanks fellows. Glad you enjoyed this WIP dio. Now let see if I can get my next project up and going. -This trip, my next build will be several builds but the first one will be an Anti-gravity vehicle. Actually, there will be several versions in the making. My first SCi Fi model- Interesting to see what I can pull off. The build will be a mix of scratch built but mostly heavy modification of a kit you guys might not have thought of.
  9. Very interested in buying one, if the price is right. Have you started on the 1/24 conversion yet? BTE, I wanted to do the same as you by converting the D8 into a civilian version but I rarely hae the time.
  10. Thanks guys. Sorry for the late reply. THe bicycle is from Diopark. A wonderful company who does wonderful accessories for 1/35 scale. A must check out.
  11. Thanks Glenn. Much appreciated.
  12. Kind regards David. Thank you for that.
  13. Thanks Mark and Henry.
  14. So true Peter. Thanks for the support and believing in me.
  15. Finally added the US figures. Again. I am no figure builder. I still need lots of practice but I had to add them to give the dio a more atmospheric ambience. Had to remove the car as when I decided to re-do the paint job, all went south. So I will have to buy another vehicle.
