Thank you for your comment. I am amazed at this thread and all the positive comments it has received. It goes to show that my so called hard work paid off. ☺ Hoping to be wrapping this build up quickly so I can get on with another project that I am planning. I also see that Italeri is finally releasing a 6x4 R-series Scania truck. I can't understand why it took so long. Then a transit ford van, as well as some other goodies. I am gonna be broke by the end of this year.
Much appreciated. I am in the process of building the second tractor for this trailer. A Scania 144l 530hp model. I think it will go together better than the 142H tractor. I will use the 142H for another trailer which i will build for it.
Thanks Rob. Yeah. He seems to be the most liked on this truck amongst many others. I kinda like using him. It just makes the overall look, somewhat nostalgic. Btw, I am adding a netting to cover the tyres to give added detail or interest.
Thanks for that comment. I did not think I would be able to replicate steel using cardboard when I first thought of the idea but I was stubborn about it. Glad I gave it a try.
yeah man. Not difficult to do at all. I've been asked by many to do a little article on how i achieved it. I will let u know when I complete it. I have not started on it yet.
I finally got the tires into the container. 163 tires to be exact. Thanks to all my fellow modellers from around the world who donated most of the tires. I also added the twist locks to the underside at all four corners of the container to hold them in place. I made some few changes of the placement of the wheels and did some minor painting and slight weathering. I lso moved the tractor slightely forward away from the trailer to show more of the fifth wheel. So I hope you all approve of the final look as I am calling this done.
