  1. Thanks guys. I just have to change out the chains, I need thicker ones.
  2. ...and sometimes thats all that needs to be said,
  3. Ok fellas. I just completed the trailer to the 142H tractor unit I had built for the Steel Haul that I was supposed to use but did not. The boom is from a toy digger I bought at a cheap store. I had planned on using it as a load for my heavy hauler rig, but the amount of work I had to do on it to get it looking right, would have taken me ages. So I opted to salvage what I could and use the parts for something useful. So now I had a use for the boom. I added hydraulics using soldering iron wiring and styrene tubing. I wanted it to look alive. The trailer is the Italeri curtain trailer kit. I only used the chassi and bottom half of it. I then scratch built the extra floor and added tie-downs. So now this tractor has a trailer, I think, goes together pretty well. Hope you like the results. Thanks for looking. Lots of detail pics:
  4. Thanks everyone. Appreciate the great support.
  5. Do you mean how long? I started off doing 1/35 military scratch built models. I looked at many how to videos and just developed my own technique from there. Lots of practice. The funny thing. I still feel I have lots to learn. Still things I can improve on to become better. Appreciate the support.
  6. Thanks man. Appreciate the support.
  7. More pics of the complete model. I think I can call it, done - I think so. But you know me, I am always coming up with something else to add or remove.
  8. OK. Now is the haul with the net. I am not really concern of the correct way of doing the attachments. As you can the see, if one has to be so concern about the restrictions of how the net should be attached then just take one look at the entire haul as a whole; then the net should be less of a concern. Just my take on the whole thing. There are hooks at the end of the four corners of the container for the net to be attached.
  9. Thanks Dax. Glad you like it. Thanks for checking it out.
  10. Thank you kindly. Appreciate the love. I think it does suit the trailer better. Now I have to build the trailer for the 142H tractor unit.
  11. Thanks.
  12. Thanks Ray.
  13. Thanks.
  14. Ok fellows. Here is the tractor I built just for this trailer unit. The blue Scania 142H tractor unit has now been replaced with this Scania 144L 530 unit. I think it suits the trailer better, especially with the similarities of the color schemes. Hope you guys liked this better.
  15. Thanks. Here is the pic that inspired me to build my version:
  16. OK fellows. This is my latest acquisition. I had intended this little dio to be a IOF dio but decided to go for the 'different' approach, as always. Yep. For those who know me, it will not come to a surprise. As my middle name is exactly that. Anyways, this scene represents a Libyan resistance fighter firing Gaddafi's last loyal militant forces, some down the streets of Tripoli. Anything Goes, is the name of this diorama. I got the idea of a pic someone had posted a long time ago. When I saw it I knew I wanted to model it some way and somehow, my way.It just shows that anything is possible, although not very practical; it just shows that anything can be used to their advantage at any time when the need calls for it. The longest and most strenuous part of this diorama was putting this figure together. First, I like the thank Bassam I. Mansour, for his suggest about using different body parts from different kits. One kit he suggested was, "Charlie on the left" from Master Box, Vietnam figure kit as a start. So thatäs what I did. The other kit I used was a body part(torso) taken from the Meng Hi lux kit, which included a one figure, if I remember right.I am no figure builder pro nor am I a figure painter pro. So this was a project with lots of miss and hits. But I keep telling myself, that I will improve. Just needs more and lots more practice. But so far, I am happy with the results. I also noticed some areas on the figure that needs some touch-ups of paint and also some toning down. So, yes, I do notice it and it will be rectified. So I hope you like the completed dio, aside from the figure not being up to standard. ----------------------------------------------
