  1. Get the Fujimi kit http://italianhorses.net/Gallery/Plastic/Revell512TR/R512TR.htm
  2. Yeah, I dont think its going to happen, everyone is sold out now, I am sure there will be more resin kits coming out for the 86/BRZ kits
  3. I have yet to build one, have two , but just looking at the kit, its far better then the Tamiya version, and the Tamiya version is a really good kit , but there are just several things that Aoshima has done better
  4. If I may, get the Aoshima version if you dont care about having the little engine detail, do you know that Aoshima is releasing an STI concept version this month? I want to get the Rocket Bunny kit as well, but darn is it expensive Here is what I have got done, the interior is done got the trim painted, and the started getting the body finished up, windows getting installed, rear lights installed grill in place, along with the fog lamps
  5. Trust me when I say its real, that is from the 2007 season, the first year of the COT (picture)
  6. No, they are not separate pieces, molded to the body The easiest way would be to paint them first, then mask them off and paint the body
  7. But he is converting it to a US truck, so the fifth wheel can move back over the rear axle , giving him enough room and not having to extend the chassis any, also, you have to remember that if leaving the fifth wheel were it for EU rules, there would not be any room for the truck and trailer to turn with the trailer hitting the end of the frame
  8. Do a test fit with trailer hooked to the chassis with the cab on it before you start cutting the chassis, with galaxie trailers hitch pin being as forward as it is, you might have enough room
  9. here is what I have been doing, first, getting the chassis masked to get the black painted got the engine done and the chassis after the black being painted, and part of the rear suspension done and the front I am switching the kit brakes, on the left is the kit , on the right are brake rotors that come with the XS tunning wheels set, as you can see, much better looking then the kit brake rotors interior and the body after clear
  10. Talking about game consoles and computers , not games on phones
  11. Nice job Raoul
  12. Nice job Harry, I want to build some bus kits this year, but its hard to make my self want to pay the asking price for them
  13. I would rather them spend money on new tooling , and not something that is very small and hard to see, dont get me wrong, having tire side detail is needed, but we also need kits for the tires to go on. If the cost is as much as the talking heads say it is, I think the smart move is putting that money into kit tooling.
  14. Coming along very nice Mike
  15. Nice job Brad, are you going to bring it to the WIP table this month?
  16. This one is not really a race version, but I want to get it, dont like the wheels though http://www.modelscientists.com/products/1-24-eightyone-rocket-bunny-transkit-for-tamiya-fr-s I dream about this one (its the first pic on the page) http://www.superleggera.com.au/912/
  17. Thanks Lawrence, I have four more or so I want to build of the Toyota version
  18. Got the chassis and body in color, I used Tamiya TS-50 There is some very slight orange peel, I dont think I got the can warmed up enough, now I am trying to decide if I want to wetsand and then do one more wet coat, or just clear coat it
  19. My stash is now minus two that I have started working on, but I added two, forgot, minus three I dont think this is a case of the who has the biggest wins, no I see it more of a loss, loss of getting to build kits
  20. You know its funny, people complain about Ebay, I have bought a few things from Amazon the last month non model related, and have had issue's everytime, one was my fault for not paying attention, other the product I bought broke 2 hours after I got it. I have a had a few issues buying kits, but everything turned out ok in the end
  21. With out it, I dont think we would have as many aftermarket people around, its much cheaper to have a website then it is to pay to advertise in any of model mags.
  22. Hobby Lobby has a 40% off coupon every week, 52 weeks a year, they are good from Monday-Sat, then you have to get the new one for the next week I am on the coupon mailing list, so every Sunday, I get the new 40% coupon for the week, then I just forward the email to my phone, and bam, off to the store I go
  23. Very nice job, I did not know the kits were designed to be built with out glue. I fake it to when I take pics right now, but I do wan to get some better lighting. It looks like it weights alot, what is the kit made up of?, like metal /plastic ?
  24. Well been waiting to get building another one of the FT-86/BRZ kits, This is the Tamiya version, this is going to be a box stock build, I am pretty sure I am going to paint it blue since I have the shade of blue on hand, but still thinking about a few other colors. Not much has been done yet, got all the body and bits in the first round of primer, chassis as well. before primer
