Moebius Models Great Dane reefer update

Dang straight it's got Quebec plates. Not only does the LoneStar have Quebec plates but it has mudflaps from my local dealer (InterEstrie) and it's fleet number shows it running out of Montreal. BM10 - Broker (Port of) Montreal (truck) 10. Thank you all for the kind words! It ought to be as the trailer alone measures 26 inches. No issues putting it together. A nice quick and easy build. Thanks Dave! -
Moebius Models Great Dane reefer update
Mr. Can Am Garage replied to Dave Metzner's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I was lucky enough to be trusted with a test shot of the Moebius Great Dane 53' trailer but I had to build it so it could be displayed at NNL East. I received it a mere two days before my local show so I decided to give it whirl to see if I could get it built in time for that. So for two and a half days, I did nothing but work on the trailer. It was finished in time but with no decals it looked pretty plain. I knew what I'd been planning on doing with it from the day the kit was announced so I got that done well before NNL East. On the table at NNL East. Back home in my garage. I'm sure you all can guess where I got the decals from. A great big Thank You to all of the gang at Moebius for letting me have one - Art Anderson, Dave Metzner and Frank Winspur. -
trucks at masscar show

They are Jeff's. The GMC pulling the railroad car is based on a 1:1. There's videos of it on YouTube running I-95 from Mass up to Portland, Maine. Don't know the name it's under but you might try Edaville Railroad, -
NNL East. Just eight weeks to go.

I can't Reserved my room at The Wayne Ramada weeks ago. If any model show is worth a seven hour drive each way, this is it. -
How about a view in from the passenger's side? Not much left to do now.
-
Been busy in the past 24... How about some dock lock knobs? The shotgun and mount have been added also. I did say knobs and as you can see, the passenger's side it locked. Seeing as I had to take the body off again, I thought to get a shot of the handle for the spotlight.
-
Progress is slow but it is happening. The spotlight and handle is on.

Dominik, Leave your picture right where it is. Beautiful.

It will be getting a star on the doors and probably some lettering on the front fenders. AS for spots, initially I wasn't sure if I had anything that could be used. I'm about half way there. I also added a scratchbuilt antenna which is too long right now. I'll fix that. And a little "something" to help enforce the law. A shotgun with scratchbuilt rack.
-
I do intend to paint the center of the hubcaps and decals are coming. As are a few scratchbuilt details.
-
This one's in the home stretch and yes, it's going to be in law enforcement.

How much money is your health worth? Mine's worth at least what I paid for my Pace. No worries. Lifetime purchase. -

There's resin for that Pat. Model by Dave has one for all of $25 plus 5.50 shipping. -

IMHO, the German military searchlight truck needed to be in one of the military classes. GREAT model but classified wrongly. Was Classic Plastic offering a separate class for scratchbuilt? I got a few Big Brute pics from NNL East 2011. -

Nothing against your LoneStar (My CN one was close by) but Jeff Harper's scratchbuilt GMC Big Brute was amazing! -
MCW or Scalefinishes?
Mr. Can Am Garage replied to 250 Testa Rossa's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I agree 100%. Plus Jameston doesn't charge an arm and a leg for shipping or for special order colors. -
Lonestar Question
Mr. Can Am Garage replied to blue logger's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I agree. There are SO many possabilities for a WorkStar in scale.
