  2. someone noticed.....you are very correct on your observation.....he used a 55 but the 58 lends itself to that. I am going to use different side moldings and still not sure about the fins,,,,
  3. little progress today....have some more details to do and the rear bumper along with the final skirts and side trim.
  4. In the box of glue bombs was a 58 Impala missing the hood and grill. With the Mustang in primer i proceeded with this. I did some searching for ideas on the net and went on to cut and glue parts together. It is starting co come together a little...much to do to make it the way I envision the final project tho.
  5. The bed has been glued into the body and the seats have been cut away....Off to get it in primer. The motor has been taken apart and re glued correctly, seams filed and ready for paint.
  6. I got a little carried away cutting the seats and had to put some back in. There is still a little jump seat in the back like the 1;1 I also got the floor to the bed finished and just the part by the passenger compartment to cut. From here on in is a straight build from the kit. I do have all the parts which is surprising so I wont have to make anything. Thank you for the comments and looking. Next I will complete the frame and engine.
  7. A friend of mine made a 1;1 like this a number of years ago...cranted he started with a coupe which would be easier. This one of the glue bombs I got Sunday. Stripped the blue strips and started cutting, KennB
  8. you can always tack the bumpers on with it...........................
  9. Went to a flea market in the twin cities yesterday and found a few goodies...There was a box of basically unpainted glue bombs for a buck each,,,,of course I got them all. The small white mustang is my first rebuild,,,,,,more on that later Also a 1/16th scale (compressed a little) 2007 mustang for 3 bucks,,,,, KennB

  12. I entered a small display of a few models and ended up with first place,,,,,My Tatra that won lat year and my 2 MG's KennB
  13. I took a close look at the rims and they appear to be a 1 piece casting so I am going with a model................................an excellent car in any case.
  14. Does anyone have the wheel base and track specs for this truck. Thank you KennB
  15. comparison between the 2 scales of K3's I will be posting more on the Bentley this week,,,,,final paint on the body. additional work on the body everything is either pinned or snap fit.
  16. As you know I have again wandered off the subject and immersed myself in yet another K3.... a quick up date.(this is 1/14th scale) I have been working on the engine and front end architecture. The engine is slowly coming together along with the sheet metal and louvered hood. Obviously all the louvers are hand cut and lack sophistication of the real thing but they give the correct appearance for this model. The hoods for these are always a challenge to get them right in plastic and I need a little filler to clean it up along with some fitting. This will be done as the sides of the hood are placed. Kenn
  17. For those wondering,,,,,I have a pile of things in the paint shop so in waiting for them I diverged again into new territory....the previous projects will get done but paint drying has it own schedual.....so I will post a little of what I have been working on this week...Mind you this is about 1/14th scale,,,,,,roughly.......The first picture has a ruller so you can get an idea of the size..... For those following on the large scale site....It is a double post... Thanks to all my followers and those tagging along for the ride,,,bumpy as it is.......... comments are always welcome
  18. Thank you Skip....they are a great addition to my files,,,,,very nice crisp photos indeed

  21. I have a few things I have been working on,,,,,the Bentley,,,the 32 Ford and the K3 racing team..
  22. I have designed homes for over 50 years but always in full scale...i.e. 1 foot in scale 1/4" I always get confusseled beyond that 1/32 and 1/24 1/25,,,,,I am never sure if I get them right anymore.................................old age setting in is probably closer to the truth I print the drawings to scale and then jut trace off the drawings,,,,so now I can make the drawings to 1" scale and be right......
  23. When is it...or is it over already...I would like to go
