  1. 85%. The old Chryslers and DeSotos screwed me up a bit. And the Packard.
  2. Personally, I like the new design. Yeah, it resembles a Ferrari a little, but I think that's an improvement. OK Revell, get to work!
  3. Weird, the one I've got isn't. It's a full detail, shares the engine and suspension with the Mythos kit. It's actually really nicely detailed. However, the 512 BB kit I've got IS pretty much a curbside. You can tell it was originally set up to be motorized.
  4. I did BMF on my Red Baron kit for all of the chrome pieces. It's almost impossible to tell they weren't molded that way. If it's done carefully, BMF is extremely hard to spot.
  5. What about the chassis on the Revell 57 Chevy 2 door sedan? Would that one work?
  6. I consider a "donor kit" as something that I picked up relatively cheaply that I'm not too terribly interested in building out of the box. I've got a 64 mustang convertible I'm using for just that sort of thing, kitbashing the engine compartment and front suspension into my Gremlin kit.
  7. This forum has allowed me to find a scale auto club in my area. I was really glad to find out about this.
  8. Either way, I'm getting one. It's going to be a good year for modelling.
  9. Wow! The light chop really improved the lines on this one. Very nice work!
  10. Very nice. I love to watch scratchbuild projects. I LOVE the wheels.
  11. The one I've got doesn't really have a chuck like the normal Dremel. The bits just push in and hold. It's pretty good for low power work, but I wouldn't want to try a cut off wheel or something that requires some torque with it.
  12. I like what you're doing. The Volare-based Road Runner was a rare bird. I had a plain old Volare years ago. Need to get a kit of it so I can summon the bad vibes from that car. It hated me.
  13. Got a similar thing from E2046 recently. It's actually marketed there as a battery powered grinding tool and comes with a small assortment of bits. I found that some of the bits from my other Dremel will fit, which REALLY expands it's capabilities. Plus it's slow enough that it can run without a speed control and won't melt the plastic. The one I got was closer to $6 not including shipping, but It's probably a cheap knockoff of the one you got.
  14. Picked up an AMT 71 Charger R/T kit from Hobby Lobby last night.
  15. Wow! My 1/24 scale kits aren't that detailed. Great work!
  16. Not sure. How about a Testors Porsche 917, or a Mazda RX-2 Savanna, or maybe a Tumbler kit.
  17. I'd actually like to try one, but not at the prices they put them on Ebay for.
  18. 67' GTO (the MPC/AMT one is kinda cheap)
  19. Actually, that organizer is pretty spiffy. I may have to locate one.
  20. Very smooth work. Nice Job!
  21. If there's a center divider in the windshield, couldn't you just make 2 separate pieces of plastic instead of trying to replicate the crease>?
  22. I'd like to get ahold of one of these eventually. Always thought the Monza was a pretty little car. Same for the Vega.
  23. I usually use burnishing tools from Hobby Lobby for the first pass to get it started, then q-tips for the final pass. The tools have rounded ends on them so they don't catch the foil.
  24. I'd definitely take a kit of Bonaparte (the little tank from Tank Police). A good kit of the Thundertank and the Fe-Liner The Maraj from Silverhawks The Batmobile from Batman TAS
  25. I think I'd just ask to have some of my previous cars back in new condition: 1972 Buick Skylark Custom hardtop with a 350-2 1990 Crown Victoria LX with a 5.0 1969 Dodge A108 van (just cause it was neat) 1998 Cadillac Deville Concours with the 4.3L Northstar (yeah, I know about the Northstar) And Dad's 1992 Chevy Caprice with the comfy interior and the big V-8.
