  1. Looks REAL nice, Chill, Porchys a Furarys have alwasy been my favorite racy cars! YOURS looks nice so far, It'll be REAL sharp when your done!
  2. Congrats on the wheels,Harold. Nice one at that too. My son-in-law got the same model, year. Red on charcoal too. I think that musta been a REAL popular color combo that year, I've seen alot of them. He's havein some electrical problems right now, his Speedo,Tach, and Fuel gauges are out, I tell Joy NOT to take the kids out in it till he gets the gas gauge fixed, DON'T want her runnin outta gas with the kids in tha car!
  3. Oh, and GOOD LUCK with the Jury Duty Harry!!!!
  4. Too many rivets, I'll say REAL.
  5. Ok, NOW someone ELSE is callin me out??? Yeesh don't you guys got enough to do? I could care less of what you think of me Cecil, but I been here LONGER than you and your remarkes AREN'T gonna make me leave, Jr. If your that good at buildin models why then don't ya just go and do it, stead of FRikin with folks your silly a$$ DON'T even know? You feel like your a real big tough guy hu? Not to me. Your just a silly little follower of some OTHER little nobody who just wants to start sh!t. I Don't understand why the level of consideration for others on this board has fallen so low lately. It's just a shame that all of Gregg's work is comin to this, This USED to be a GREAT place, now it's just gettin to be a place where people just wanna talk about OTHER people and totally forget it WAS started to be a place where we could just relax and talk about the hobby. Now it's almost like a place where little girls can come and talk trash about people they don't like, just because they don't have ANYTHING better to do. THAT'S the real shame. All this is just simple mindedness you the part of guys who have DEEPER problems, and THIS is how they feel better about themselves. I feel SORRY for you,Cecil.Your just a little follower.
  6. Duhhhhh Janne, I just reread the title of the thread, It's a PARK LANE!!!!
  7. Jan, that's an AMT 66 Mercury. I'm not sure if it's a Monterey or a Montclair, but it's a REAL stylish lookin car, WHATEVER model of Merc it is!!!
  8. HOOOO Jim, Somethin like that would probly drive me BACK to doin somethin crazy! Love how it's commin out so far though! It's lookin GREAT!!!
  9. Tom, my cousin Felix had one of those back when I was a kid. I ALWAYS liked that car. Reminded me of a rocket ship! seein as how it had a Rocket V-8 in it just made it cooler! You did a GREAT job, his was a real nice yellow, but it looks even nicer in your red color! I like it! Definately gonna hafta get me one, even if JUST for old times sake! GREAT build!!!
  10. Marcus, It happens to us all! Just sit down at your bench an close your eyes, and just let your mind float around a bit. with your eyes closed, just look around an then just OPEN them. The first thing you see, GO for it! If it's not a car, WHO cares, it'll get your juices flowin and start yer motor runnin!
  11. Brad, UNLESS your freind has had previous expirience with R&R resins, I'd steer him to Perry's. R&R's kits leave alot to be desired. I have purchased from both, and as far as clean up is concerned, Perry's kits are easier to work with. If he's comfortable doin unforseen clean up work, then either one will work, but I kinda feel Perry's would be your best bet on this one. THIS is JUST a personal opinion, others may think differently.
  12. Dale, THANK YOU!!!!! I have been ASKING for SOMEONE to do something like this to show us how to build one, and YOU have come thru like GANGBUSTERS!!!! It looks like it's something I could actually DO!!! May take a little practice, but I THINK I could manage it! THANKS AGAIN ! GREATLY appericiated!!!!
  13. That is what's left of the trophy that came in the kit The base is missing now. It's a rectangle that mounts to the bottom, where the Vee starts. a small chrome throphy goes in front of it.
  14. Jim, This might sound kinda dumb, But I smoked weed for almost 30 years, and when I wanted to stop, I went to a rehab clinic for 30 days, and within another 30 days of bein out, I just started again! My wife suggested HYPNOSIS, I went, and I haven't smoked ANYTHING in over 10 YEARS!!! Beleive me, IT WORKS!!! While I was seeing the therapist(hypnotist) I also asked her to suggest to me to not drink either, cause I didn't want to replace one crutch with another. Since I hadn't drank in almost 20 years, I DIDN'T want to start again, so I asked her to plant a suggestion NOT to start. It's worked for me, and I've suggested it to my best freind so HE could stop useing drugs, and it worked for him too! It's NOTHING to be ashamed of, and it's NOT expensive, AND it WORKS! Just thought I'd mention it cause it's ALOT easier than goin thru withdrawal, and like I said IT WORKS! No muss, no fuss, NO BAD ATTITUDES and such. You can also ask for other things to be gone, OR start if you really want to change your lifestyle/ways!Just a helpful suggestion.
  15. I used eat at the Blue Danube in Windsor.
  16. Thanks Ron, for the in detail reveiw! AND the extra info about the 442. I didn't know all the "goodies" about it! I still haven't seen one on the shelves, I'll be sure to get it when I do. I'm lookin forward to it,after Bill & Lens build up, and this reveiw! Thanks!
  17. Well Thank you Mike-O, but those are Danbury Mint Die Casts, ALL of them were gifts from my Wife and Daughter, I wish I could build that nice!!!
  18. Why Yes mr. sauber, I DO occasionally build a model or two, But being as how it doesn't really matter to me to show them off, I don't think it or see it as important to me to show them off. I've been building for over 50 years now come April 1st of this year. I haven't quite gotten the hang of posting pictures of them, and to be honest with you, it's NOT important to me. I've NEVER sold a model, If someone happens to like one, I'll usually just give it to them. Their only peices of plastic to me. I made that one, I can make ANOTHER one just like it. I wouldn't have seen this post, except Nick quoted it. My models probably wouldn't impress YOU, as you get PAID for yours. Thank you for asking.
  19. John, I GOTTA agree with Ed,an Roge, THAT build came out BEAUTIFUL!!! The paint is just perfect Yeesh daddy-O you ARE good! I haven't seen that kit built THAT nicely in all the years it's been out! You REALLY did it proud!!!!!!
  20. Now THIS is the car that SHOULDA been moleled! It's just SOOOO cool lookin! Wat is it ? an MD4? I thought it was some kinda custom the built just for the movie. Was it ACTUALLY a REAL like you an be could BUY car,or just a one off custom?
  21. Ya know Jeff, He's ALWAYS been a pretty crafty competitor, Soooo..... I wouldn'T be surprised to see him IF he were to show up drivein his own car. He may just do it for ol times sake! Ya know wat I mean?
  22. Such a pretty car, I liked 'em back then, but at the time,my Ma had a 65 Lincoln that she traded for a 67.I wanted her to get a Merc, but then again, it WASN'T for me. She got the Lincoln. It was a convertable. Only one we ever owned. Either way,I still liked the Merc, it's STILL a VERY nice style! Ya dun 'er PROUD Chuck!!!
  23. Zoot, Actually I thought Prudhomme had retired a few years ago, I hadn't heard of him ACTUALLY driveing in quite a few years.
