  1. WoW, I truly must be nuts, cause the ONLY other place I'd rather live other than southwest Michigan( Metro Deeetroit area) is OZ. Stump sent me pics of his house an it really is a paradise! No Island for me! I'm a born big city boy an I love em. The convienience, the people, Hell, I even LIKE the snow! My sister moved to Texas in 76 and moved back in 90, an she said Christmas wasn't Christmas without snow. Must be a northern thing. Don't worry bout Hurricanes, floods, tornados, or earthquakes, Freezin temps I can dress for, but how do you deal with 100 mph winds, rainin SIDEWAYS, an tidal waves? In Texas they shut down the gas stations if the air has too much static electricity! All we gotta worry about is crooked politicians NOT mother nature. Thank God!
  2. Ah, Rob, ya jus HAD ta go there , Right? Well with pics or not, here goes. What I did was to file the angle in with a course emery board to get the angle that looked right(too me) then I had to take a little bit from the bottom of the bumper cut out an so slightly re contoure the very bottom of the body sculpture line till I got the whole bumper assembly to lean the way I wanted it to.Not alot of work really ,pretty easy to do, and to me, it made a perfect kit even more perfecter.I LOVE THIS KIT!!!
  3. ######, thems some awful big spiders! You gotta GIANT size can a Raid? Maybe you should be workin on it a little more often, so it don't get do many cobbywebs! Spiders aside, it looks like it's gonna be a killer ride. I do like the louvres on the hood, are they 1/72nd scale ladders? NEET trick!
  4. Ok fellas, I dun got me a few of these kits(4) and I was noticing that the rear taillight panel(the area BETWEEN the taillights) looks a little too vertical for me. I had one and I sure don't remember it bein straight up an down like that. In fact if I remember correctly, it had a slight rear-ward rake at the top. The AMT Nova kit had this area down perfect but the new Revell kit just looks too vertical to me. Anyone else notice this? I've fixed this on the model I'm workin on, but it seems to me it should've been done right on a newly released kit. Other than that, I LOVE this kit!
  5. Gregg, How bout a fine line sharpie? Or maybe a gel pen? I guess you'd need a pretty steady hand, But maybe it would work.Just a thought.
  6. WoW!,Now THATS a HOT ROD! Just like I remember as a kid. 32 Roadster, Big engine Great paint! Yep, It's a real hot rod in my book! I luvs it!
  7. Naw, Zeb, I think it meant "Go Fer" wood. But so many folks have had their hand in it who knows what it really means. God Almighty din't write the book, mortal men did, claiming God told them, but who knows? We're DEFINATELY NOT perfect!
  8. ED, I remember when this story first came out about 25 or so years ago, Apperently furd DID steal this mans idea, and refused to pay him royalties, he sued an won, an they had to pay him X amount of PENNYS for every furd built with intermiten wipers since about 1963 or so. He ended up gettin a coupla million bucks from furd. It serves them right! Furds have always been junk! Howcum theres about 5 different big blocks and NONE of the parts interchange? or 2 different 302's with NO interchancheable parts? Thats one of the many reasons I'd NEVER have a furd.
  9. Yeah Nick, I like em! After you an Chris turned me on to em I try ta catch em, but it looks like speed dropped em or like you was tellin me, they're on so late I'm usually asleep! Never understood how folks get ANYTHING outta watchin cars go round an round for hours! Gimme a roadtrack, an I'll stay ALL day. Oh, an before I forget, ###### LIZARDS!!!
  10. What Chris, yer buyin up FERRARIS an your worried about the cost? If ya can afford the gas fer them rascals, buyin a new one should be a peice a cake! Jus Butch up an buy to yer hearts content, an show them "Corvarris" your on to them! It'll turn out great, WHATEVER you build!
  11. What a GREAT way to start the day! Glad to hear it's gone an (Praise God) I hope it's gone for good! Your a Very well respected man in our little community, an WE ALL hope that your recovery is permanent. Take care of yourself Bob, an keep bein an insperation for the rest of us!!!God Bless ya Bob!
  12. Spike, wot scale is that? Is the little one next to it a Hot Wheels or a 25th an tha big on somethin else? You should wrap the Headers so tha scream don't melt. But then again, with the Hemi you probly get ta where yergoin before it does! Great job ,whatever scale it is!!!!
  13. WoW! the engine really bought it into "today" Mike! Yeah, anything that looks that unique deserves a unique engine, so I think it was a good choice. The paint detail on the engine is real cool too. Ya dun a GOOD job,Mike!!!
  14. Dave, you REALLY otta make the headlites work, just ta blow some minds! I like it, it looks like Christine. But I'd NEVER wanna be on her bad side, she's just too mean Christine!Great job onna great build!
  15. robert81, My brother is a heavy deisel mechanic with about 40 yrs of expierience, an about as many state certifications, He's 65(ten years oldern me) an THAT ol Fart can easy pick up one of those wheels AND rims an get it up there! He will say somethin stoopid like" Don't use yer muscles, use yer brains!" But he was in the Marine Corps too, an I thought they used up his brains! Either way, he LOVES his work an I don't see him retirein anytime soon. He'll probly have a heart attack or somethin doin somethin stupid on them big a$$ed trucks. But he does love it! BTW Great lookin truck, ain't it?!
  16. Yep, Gregg, the wheels did help finish it! They look great, Oh, an who went blind carvin the hula girl? Now THATS dedication! Looks GREAT, lookin forward to seein yours an Tom's at Toledo!
  17. Great Job,Tonio. Heck, I'd be proud to have that on MY shelf! Looks real nice, considering how old that mold is! You gave it the time an treatment it deserves, and it shows. Glad to see you postin again, you always bring somethin nice to the table!
  18. Thanks for the pic of the "Master" Hans. Isn't it funny how such an unassuming looking Gentleman can be SUCH a genius? But then, look at Einstien, Never woulda thunk he was the smartest man on the planet in his day just by lookin at him! Juha's in that class, to me. It would be worth a trip tp Sweden just to meet him as far as I'm concerned. The trick is talkin "Wifey-Pooh" into goin just for some models."You wanna what???" would probly be her response! Either way, THANKS again for the pic, I wonder if he knows his effect on the modeling world? At least he looks like a nice guy!
  19. Great move, Harry, It's 8:30 an you know I'da been knockin onna door! Ya dun good on this one, but I think I'm goin with REAL this time. Just looks it to me. It's probly a Pocher ? kit or sumpthin like that, But I'm gonna stick with real!
  20. Van, I've been talkin wit da ######'n an he's just chillin lettin his battries re charge.Guess he got burnt out workin on the lil T. I guess I woulda got burnt out too workin on sumpthin THAT small! But he is ok,or at least as OK as you can be ,when your da ######'n! He does drop in occasionaly to see who's bad mouthin his crusty ol a$$, but for the most part, he's doin as best as can be expected from a guy who's ######'N BLAQUE!!!!! I know he appericiates your concern!
  21. Don't feel bad Kev, Not everyone has seen the same weird flicks as you, I do know the answer, but I'm gonna sit on it an see if anyone comes up with it, after all, I answered correctly an STILL ain't got my prize!!!
  22. WoW! Juha Airio, He's probably the most envied guy I've ever heard of! I would LOVE to have just 1/10th of his talent! As far as I'm concerened He's the BEST replica stock builder ON THE PLANET! I'd love to meet him and see his models up close an personal like! even his name jus gives me chills!!! In my book he's the BEST IN THE WORLD at what he does, BAR NONE! I can still dream to someday be as good (I SAID DREAM) as he is!
  23. WoW! that ALREADY looks good! It'll be killer an you'll be the only kid on the block with one! Great job, so far, an I can't wait to see her done. Keep up the great effort an impress us all! It's lookin GOOD!!!
  24. Well if your the "Model King"s wife, wouldn't that make you the "Model Queen"? Either way, they look GREAT! I'm partial to the 66 Chevelle myself, but they're ALL nicely done! A word of caution though, Remember NOT to get better than the King, or he MIGHT pull a Henry the VIII on you!(poor ol Anne Boelyn)
  25. Excellent build Ron! Came out lookin GREAT, curbside or street side! Ya got the look of them ol barges down pat! Even the color is right on, ya dun real good!
