  2. Wish I could have the Dick Brannan's A/FX 65 427 SOHC Mustang ready for your show but I will not have it finished in time. I was shooting for the 2017 IPMS Nationals, provided I can get both of his 62 Galaxies finished early enough to compete the Mustang.

  4. Yes, it is a tape product for vinyl tops from The Model Car Garage. It is already black and I like the appearance. When going over the transmission tunnel it doesn't lay down perfect which is perfect since it doesn't on the real car.

  6. Here is a mockup of the firewall. The interior firewall was exterior light blue color. The rubber mat went half way up the firewall. Since this was a Wayne Assembly car (all 11 lightweight cars were produced at Ford's Wayne Assembly Plant), the engine side of the firewall is also body color, which in this case is light blue.

  8. Here is a the floor pan with light blue body color over red oxide primer.
  9. I have been working on Dick Brannan's 1962 Lightweight 406 Galaxie and have added a black rubber mat to the floor like the real car. Should look really good once the front and rear seats, door cards, dash and steering wheel have been painted silver blue. I have also modified the interior firewall so that the mat goes up the firewall half way exposing the light blue exterior color. I will post a photo of the firewall once completed.
  10. Slowly making progress. Adding some body color to the underbody red oxide primer. The light blue (Baffin Blue) is for the #823 lightweight car and the dark blue (Oxford Blue) is for the all steel #717 car. Front wheel wells still need to be black. Also wheels and tires for the #717 Oxford Blue car. Engines are almost competed and will post photos when complete.
  11. Experimenting with a possible display for my two Dick Brannan 62 406 Super Stock Galaxie's. I also have a lightweight label that was originally in the glove box of the 62 lightweight for his light blue car. I plan on mounting these on a wood base. Doing this for the 2017 IPMS National. I plan to have a similar base planned for Brannan's 63 lightweight too.

  13. Model Car World (MCW) makes a resin interior kit for the 1963 Lightweight Ford Galaxie. Overall MCW captured the interior detail well, dash has radio and heater deletes, door panels have the armrest removed. The front seats included in the MCW kit are not accurate for a 1963 Lightweight Galaxie. They are however correct for the 1962 Lightweight Galaxie. To correct this flaw for the 1963 Lightweight Galaxie that I am building to replicate Dick Brannan's car, I have modified the kit seats. The seat on the left is the original kit seat, the one on the right I modified to replicate the actual 1963 lightweight seat.
  14. The gold paint that I used was Tamyia Gold TS 21, cleared after the 406 decals set up
  15. Getting closer to complete 406 Super Stock engines. Oil filters are red to replicate the original Rotunda filters
  16. Ford had a Silver Blue Code Y color for 1965

  18. Here is a photo of Brannan's 62 lightweight engine. Notice how the 406 decals is slightly crooked. I tried to do the same on my valve covers
  19. Here are the two 406 Super Stock engines for Brannan's 1962 Galaxies. Both are still under construction, needing wiring, belts, other accessories, etc. The 406 6V is for his dark blue Super Stock and the Dual 4bbl is for his light blue lightweight Super Stock. The 406 valve cover decals are custom done

  23. Very nice lightweight. I have the MCW lightweight interior too for my model of Dick Brannan's # 823. Also I have a pair of lightweight bucket seats for my 1962 Brannan light blue lightweight Galaxie #823
  24. Original T-Bolt's were either Vintage Burgundy or Wimbeldon White with a light champagne color interior. Other exterior colors were the result of a color change by the dealer/car owner. I believe, the original burgundy cars were white and the white cars were black. Depending on the cars livery, would dictate the color the strip was painted. For example, the original Bob Ford was gold with a black top and black strip, Gas Ronda's Poppy Red car also had a black strip, but the Courtesy Ford T-Bolt strip was red. Researching the specific car is required to be accurate. Hope this helps.
