  1. Awesome work brother! I have one of those Prowler trailers sitting in my box of junk, I know what to do with it now!
  2. Back in the day, they used '40 ford hoods, two of them mounted together to make an easy salt lake racer nose. Like the Chrisman coupe.
  3. I came away feeling the same thing! Kinda a D-bag.
  4. I've been fighting off one of the worst colds I've ever had, But am managing to get some stuff done. The body is still a little tacky (Testors red enamel, decanted, thinned 2:1, sprayed through my Paasche Talon) so I didn't want to handle it too much for these mock up shots. Few more days, I'll give the body a quick once over with some 2000 grit, then hit it with duplicolor clear.
  5. Killer build brother! That is some very nice body work, And a nice appearing hemi peeking out. Lets see a pic of the matching vicky!!
  6. Nice frame! is this the 37 ford 2n1 kit? do those wheels and tires come with it? Great machine work as well!
  7. Thanks! Sending pics to Ken and Keith is a great Idea! I put a small channel so I wouldn't have to extend the hood so much. (The body is actually racked more in the front than rear)

    1949 ford

Good looking build brother! I will always have a soft spot for British racing green. I'm in the process of finishing up my 49 Ford, This is good motivation to put her "under glass!"
  9. It's on Netflix, I thought it was spectacular, with tremendous in car archive footage, and great interviews. FWIW I teared up at the end. RIP Aryton.
  10. Very nice! Good flow of lines on the Vicky body with the soft top! What are you thinking for motorvation and rolling stock?
  11. Decided on the Red Ram Hemi for power. It'll get plug wires and scratch built solder headers.
  12. Neat! I haven't really used our paint system on models yet, I'm afraid of the hardener/reducer combo. Decanted testors lacquers for me (read: big wuss).
  13. Looks like a fun project! Are you going to restore them? They look fairly complete, I would ask the ol' tymer who gave them to you for pics of the cars they were modeled after and "finish" them. Good luck! I have a soft spot for dirt racing, My father raced for years and years, We have clay running through our veins.
  14. I work for a large electric sign manufacturing company, and today I ventured into the paint department on break, and spotted this little slice of heaven That top row of bottles is full containers of pearl powders!!
  15. Finally went forwards instead of back. Front axle, bones, and spring are settled. Decided to make the steering pose able. Here's how she sits, hood extended about 2 scale inches.
  16. I <3 the revell parts pack engines, The can be found on evil bay, in packs of four for 9.95 plus free shipping from "rthesz" I've purchased numerous parts packs motors from them, They even include a handwritten note with each sale.
  17. Nifty trick with the blade "jig." I'll definitely add that to my arsenal!
  18. Wasn't there a "sticker bomb" decal floating around? I'd love to get my hands on that sheet, Or even better a .PDF, or vector file. Also, I <3 the wheels.
  19. Did this all day, I have a VERY supportive wife.
  20. Is this the same as the shelby gt 350 kit? If so I may have the vent. PM me.
  21. Hey guys, Here's my contribution, Rolling bones style 3 window, pinched frame rails, mild channel, 6" scale chop. I'm really excited about this build! It will need a hood stretch, and Probably a Hilborn injected SBC, with ram horns.
  22. Beautiful builds Doc, Not sure how I missed this thread the first time around, But am glad I caught it the second! I will definitely have to add a few of these kits to my ever-growing stash! That candy red on the second one is stunning!!
