  1. Haven't used it myself, but I suggest you try it on a spare part or sprue first. Maybe someone here knows about it tho, some people here have tried everything it seems.
  2. Just a model I built quick as h*ll last year after a few years out of the hobby, just to get a hang of it again. Everything painted with good old paintbrushes and whatever acrylics I found laying around. No clear, no polishing, no sanding. Decals was a PITA really, but I think it came out nice considering the time and effort (not) laid into this. Sorry for the crappy pictures. Got one unbuilt laying around that I'll make for my younger brother. That one will however get my full attention.
  3. Hahaha, probably the funniest thing I've read. Kids are great, but their creativity is greater, like wow, imagine what one could do with all that. Welcome to the forums from another "newbie"!
  4. J/K. Hi! Thought it's about time i stopped lurking and came out as a real member. Been browsing this forum for quite some time. I'm 23 years young, and just recently got back into building. I started when I was somewhere around 7, with AMT/Ertl kits, just like my stepfather. He had been building 1:24/1:25 since before I was born so naturally I was hooked at an early age. A few weeks ago I started to "rebuild the build pile", Getting two tamiya kits, along with new paints, brushes, you name it. Should be easy enough now after almost 10 years away from the hobby. (with exception of a Revell Mercedes GP W01 and a Revell El Camino I built about a year ago). I'll start posting the Workbench and Under Glass-sections as soon as I got something to put there. Last but not least, thank you (yes YOU) for this amazing community and I apologize for any grammar mistakes I make, hope you'll understand what I write. (Alltho' I must say I know the difference between Their, There and They're, Then and Than etc.)
  5. Is that really just Tamiya rubbing compound straight on the paint? No clear whatsoever? Amazing finish!
  6. Haha yeah, I took a quick look yesterday and wow, MPC is out of the question. Of course I'll share the project, along with my other current ones.
  7. Thanks again! The MPC 73-kit looks amazing. Bet it's a blast to build oob. I think I'll go with the 70 monogram/revell. Seems easier to find, and since either of them needs a fair amount of scratch building. However, knowing myself I'll probably search for the MPC aswell. Would be awesome if I could get one.
  8. Wow, thanks! So the '70 t/a is the closest I'll get box stock? Don't really know much about the car, and as I said I can't ask him about it. The fenders may be something custom made, he was kinda into the custom/pro touring scene here in Sweden. Thanks for all the help! One last thing, I know it's kind of hard to see, but the rims and tires, any clues? Aftermarket or kit inkluded doesn't matter really.
  9. So, here's the only remaining picture of the car. Not much, but it think I can make a somewhat proper replica of the now long lost car. (if I can get a hold of a kit) So, is it a 73 t/a or am I more lost than I thought?
  10. Oh man I love the Nsx. The bigger the better. Following this!
  11. I for one "cant" use anything other than a rattle can outdoors. My man cave has no windows for a spray booth fan-hose setup, and my wife will probably kill me if I were to set one up in the newly renovated kitchen. Rattle cans and paintbrushes it is!
  12. I'm completely lost on the Pontiac's unfortunately. I think it's a trans am, post a picture later, some of you guys know a lot more about them and might help me. Can't ask my FIL about it since its a... Surprise
  13. Thanks for the answers. Really want to get a hold of One. My father in law had a 70,72 and a 73 he was really attached to but then along came the wife and kids so now the Pontiac's are just sweet memories. Wanted to build a replica for his birthday. I think I'll see if ratnasty will be willing to ship a transkit all the way to Sweden. What kit chassis and engine can I build it around? Anyone tried them?
  14. Topic says it all actually. A 72 would work aswell. What maker does any of them?
  15. It's builds like this that makes me want to keep my models in their boxes forever. Stunning
  16. This is so stunning and beautiful that my eyes bleed from detail overload.
  17. Wow. I can't even find the words in my vocabulary to describe this. Also, as a photographer, great shooting man. Does the model justice.
  18. Interior came out perfect. Killer job!
  19. For the first time I've been talking to myself while watching a build. Stunning. Absolutely riddiculous.
  20. Wow man. Wow. Was considering registering here since I'm a modeler, but I figured i'd wait 'til my latest project was done. (Just picked this hobby up again after a 5 yr haitus). Until I saw this. Never been a fan of newer American Cars, but this thing is amazing. Blew my mind. All my thumbs up, even tho I only have two. / Robin.
