  1. So like I said.. I basically have the entire kit minus the Body/Chassis. This includes all chrome/wheels/hood/parts. It even came with some phopto etch nova badges and other items. Forgot to mention to confirm this is the Kit I am pulling parts from
  2. I have that kit minus the body so if you need anything let me know
  3. Is this the body of the Trumpeter Nova SS kit? Great build so far sir.
  4. I soak chrome parts in brake fluid.. depending on thickness will take 1 or more days.. just check on it. I have yet to have it ruin the plastic.
  5. Great detail! and the sharpie DIY was pretty sweet!
  6. Thank you for the offer Joshua, whats under the hood of your 66'?
  7. Drove to hobbies Unlimited in San Leandro for the first time. Great spot! Like Ifigured tho, very expensive. Had to buy something tho since I drove all the way there. I also picked up a new Xuron Sprue cutter. Recently a friend had asked for help getting started in modeling so I gave him a bare essentials kit to start him off not realizing I gave him my Xurons that were going 10 years old! Luckily there only 9 bux on Amazon Prime!
  8. Very good start, thats a nice looking kit.
  9. Those are NICE! Cant wait to see the build!
  10. "Lin has informed the studio that he won’t direct the seventh Fast and the Furious movie, on the basis that its “aggressively accelerated [production] timetable” won’t allow him the proper time to finish editing Fast & Furious 6 and complete pre-viz work on the followup – without having to rush both processes and be satisfied with sloppy results, that is." Basically he was not down to just spit out another movie because its hot and making tons of cash. He wants the right amount of time to do it his way.. I dont blame him
  11. The first movie supplies nothing but hilarious one liners.. so its great for that comdeic factor. 2nd movie was for sure the absolute worst of the bunch.. I actually enjoyed Tokyo Drift as it was the first of the movies I tought that you really liked the characters (Han). I doubt they will continue on the level they are at now, because Lin is no longer working on the upcoming projects..
  12. Sounds good Justin, I appreciate any help.
  13. For me its just the skill level. I dont want to jump into a hard project. I need to practice and learn a bit more first haha
  14. Finally got started on the kit today. I was hoping not to have too much custom work to get this thing low but it looks like its gonna need help. Its not a bad stance but the look I am going for is much lower. Sooooo I put together the chasis and cross members to see what needed to be adjusted. The seems to be the only issue. I dont really see a place to just cut and remove so drop it down. If anyone has some pointers, or previsouly built kits I can use as build plan that would be cool. This will be my first attempt at anything other than simply chopping blocks to lower the car. The rear seems simple. Chop the the rear braces like an 1/8 and I think it will totally change the look of the truck. No crazy tricks needed, rear diff should still clear. Removed this line fromt eh hood I did not like. Other than the ride height situation, the other issue is the quality of the kit. I guess I am too used to tamiya kits which too me are some of the very best. Lots of thin gaps in the front clip and most annoying of all... The detail of the interior roof liner is ruined by these injection mold circles. Obviously removing them is a no brainer, but I do not think I can do so without messing up the molded in detail. More pics tomorrow. Like I said.. slow process.
  15. Very nice!
  16. Love every bit of it. Thanks for sharing the work.
  17. I am deff interested also, Great work putting all this together. Deff post the website and photos!
  18. Glenn I have not actually. I have actually not been to any of the other LHS in my area mainly because I worked at HobbyTown. Even if the owner did not carry a specific item, I could pretty much order whatever I needed. Today is my day off and I think I may actually go take a look!
  19. So I am looking through photos and I think this is the stance I will try to go with. I will get some photos of the stock height up by this evening, but its no where close. I am hoping to find a build somewhere of a good way to drop this thing another 1/8 inch
  20. Yea lets hope. I will have to go check it out
