  2. That is not a drain petcock on the bottom, that is the mechanism that holds the glass jar to the top plate. It is a screw that presses against the glass bowl to the rubber or cork gasket in the top.

  19. This trick just beat the trick I was using, I would take a circle cutter and cut 2 masks for the outer and inner dimensions, Then just paint between the lines. It does make for good results, but is VERY time consuming, Taking into account that I would have to cut 8 masks for 4 tires.this looks like my tire painting time has been drastically reduced, and thanks for sharing your tip.
  20. Hey Pat, I have a question for ya, What is the Adhesion Promoter that you refer too? Is that a HOK product?
  21. I use embossing powder all the time for my interiors. I only purchase the white powder. I use a white glue, thinned with a little water, brush it on and sprinkle the powder. I let it dry in usually 20 mins, then I can paint the embossing powder with spray and/or brush. Because this is basically a paper product, it absorbs the moisture from the glue and paint adheres to it well.
  22. The bars for the roll cage are too thick for a Smokey car..LOL,AND there would have been like a mile of fuel line wrapped throughout the car. very nice build.

  25. Was really disappointed by the lack of support from the aftermarket companies. Small turnout for the model contest. I did take a third with my Kenworth. The winner was the Willys.
