  1. Micro Mark sell this and some others
  2. Thank you Mike.
  3. I am decaling a Lexan body slot car. I know it is gonna crash. Which would protect the decals Pledge, Createx or another brand? Thanks Mike
  4. There was a low-level mid-air collision between the 2 at a Dallas Air Show yesterday. The Air Show is an annual Veterans Day affair. The polit of the King Cobra is being blamed for the crash. He was flying too close to the B-17. Regardless of who is to blame it is such a tragedy. Mike
  5. Saying to myself I am only buying and building one kit at a time. Now have 50 car models and some military kits to be built. I bet a lot of guys started out down this path. Mike
  6. I watch Mecum Auto Auction for inspiration. Especially paint colors. Paint chips are Ok, but you can't beat seeing the real thing. I am building a 1969 442 which is painted Hugger Orange with the kit's white decals and the soon to arrive Keith Marks white set. I would have never even thought of a Hugger Orange 442 until I saw one on Mecum. It is spectacular !!!! Mike
  7. Me being a Baby Boomer I would go back in time to piolet a P51 Mustang.
  8. My wife and I went to South Dakota, and we visited the Ellsworth Air Force Base the home of the B1 and the outdoor and indoor museums. We had the privilege of seeing a B1 coming low and fast to land. Another taking off fast and high. We also went to a Minute Man Missel silo. Mike
  9. I agree false advertising Thanks for your comment Mike
  10. I didn't see or read that discussion. I will pay more attention to kit reviews Thank you for the comment Mike
  11. I am not trying to accomplish anything other getting some response from Revell about my question. Curtis Mayfield sang "If you don't try you gonna die" {Freddies Dead} It just rubbed me the wrong way Thanks for your comment Mike
  12. Beautiful !
  13. Proud to say that my cousin Dominic who enlisted about 18 months ago. Is having the time of his life. He is assigned to the motor pool and is serving in Japan. He sends us YouTube videos of him driving these huge vehicles. A big smile on his face. Mike
  14. Short synopses: I sent an e-mail to Revell about putting a snap kit into a full build. Response took 1 day. Big demand for the 1981 Z28 Camaro. New decals 2nd email You did not answer my question about the snap kit. Still waiting for answer. Thanks for all your responses. Mike.
  15. IMO, we modelers can build cars to rival Diecasts. Mike
  16. Hi What is a Crimp? Mike
  17. Yes. phone wires, USB cords, anything electronic related. Mike
  18. Got my Newsletter from Kustomrama and this Paul Wirt's custom car
  19. I like the kit. It's just the point I paid $34.99 -40% for a Snap Kit. Retiring and turning 70 this year I am an official Crotchety Old Man with plenty of spare time.? Isn't a male Karen a Go Brandon Go?? Thanks Mike
  20. I am not being rude. I have never read the small print on the back of the box. But from now I will check.
  21. The facts speak for themselves They put a Snap Kit in a full build box and charged full price. I think I need to send an anergy tone email to Revell. Who knows if they will even read it or respond? I will let everyone what happens. Thans Mike
  22. I like the car. A good paint job is all it takes to make it look good As far as E-Mailing Revell Sometimes complaining will get somewhere response or no response. Curtis Mayfield sang {Fredys Dead} "If you don't try you gonna die". Thanks Mike
  23. You guys are right. This a snap kit. It looks like the CHIPS Chase Car. Revell put a snap kit into a full build box ! I looked at the box and instruction sheet Not even 1 reference to a snap kit. I did get my 40% off at Hobby Lobby but still, 40% off a snap kit would be a lot less money. E-bay has one listed for $50.00+ $10.00 shipping and some for less. I would feel sorry for the person who bought a $60.00 snap kit This is a bunch of XXXXXXXX from Revell. I am planning to send Revell a nasty E-Mail about this. Would this be false advertising and a Rip Off ? What do you guys think? Mike
  24. I just got back from Hobby Lobby. I purchased a Revell 1981 Z28 Camaro. Plastic tires, no chrome tree, and just the top of the motor Mike
