  1. As the master Donn says 3 traps, I got 2 water & 1oil, Donn's says on his DVD & in his last post, some may consider it overkill but i personally can vouch for better paint work by following Donn's simple but effective guide lines. I will get around to finishing & posting something someday, lol.
  2. I'm a Mopar fan so the GTX but they are both very nicely built.
  3. Brilliant idea for this kit, well done.
  4. Very nice, expensive piece of resin though. I've got one on the work bench (sorta) I put deeper dish rear wheels on & am still in the process of redoing the slats in brass Planet X http://www.comet-miniatures.com/browse.php?zone=18&s_categ=139&page=1
  5. When I 1st seen pics of the 1:1, I liked it & you have built a most fitting tribute to it, well done.
  6. Congrats Dave, 15 months? better late than never I guess.
  7. Very nice, needs the Road Runner decal & not just the silhouette on the front guards, guess it must have been a licencing issue. I went & bought Keith Marks Decals for this missing but important feature
  8. So when's this going to be finished & how long after can I expect it at my front door, lol, looking good.
  9. You could try laying tape down 1st along the trim line then the BMF, burnish the BMF down, then cut using the tape & trim line as your guide as you now have a "valley" in which the blade can travel. Don't forget to always use a brand new blade.
  10. Thanks Donn & Alexandre, but Pro Tech etc are not a viable option, gets real expensive real fast for the amount I'm after, see http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=72174 cost me a small fortune bringing a heap of Pro Tech's braided line down under. Maybe I should just do box stock or quit the hobby altogether. No, that just ain't gonna work. & Donn love the DVD's, picked up so many useful tips. Casey, I,ve had them for about 15+ yrs, they were complete. I tried Google to with no success.
  11. yes & yes
  12. Or you could do what Donn has on his DVD, 2 moisture traps & 1 oil trap, I copied Donn's set up & am now getting my best paint job's ever. In fact I suggest you aquire Don's excellent DVD's & follow his advice. Way to go Donn.
  13. Does any body know if these are still avaible & from where I can aquire them please.
  14. Thanks for the input guys, Andrew & Casey, I went & bought a heap of Plastruct hex rod awhile back but as you said Casey, it's doesn't look right. Luke, thanks, I buy a bit from BNA but still to pricey for the quantities I need (to many kits). I'll keep looking, maybe I can find Brass hex small enough & electrocoat it?
  15. Where can I get aluminium hex bar/rod to make my own AN fittings please. I could buy fittings from US suppliers but that's going to get real expensive real fast. I want to be able to make my own fittings for my own personal use, not to go into business with. If this isn't feasible how do the likes of Pro tech etc make theirs?
  16. Nice to see Murphy's law still works, last year I bought a resin body from R&R, dash from Missing Link, Fred Cady decals & a duster kit to build a Demon & all I had to do was wait, thanks Murphy.
  17. With the 1st pic I thought it was a real truck, very nice.
  18. What a cool vid, like the cars to.
  19. That looks real nice, Ilike the use of the PB rims, looking forward to seeing it finished
  20. Ron's wife was still selling off Ron's products up until late last year, I managed to get one of Ron's 41 Willy's panel vans, very nice casting.
  21. MSSS is still going http://184.172.254.169/~mikessca/
  22. It's a ford, good thing that it's abandoned, lol. Very well done though, looks real.
  23. When this kit 1st came out I thought "what an ugly truck" but builds like yours have changed my mind. Well done, 1st class job.
