Looks cool Chuck,I was at a show and some one had a R&M streamline go cart on a revell midget trailer. The only problem was that there would be no way that the cart could go up the ramps because they were to far apart! It was a little detail that I thought was kinda funny. I will start the build as soon as my charger comes in through the mail,I will also update the list soon. -
I don't care for tuners to much but this is an exception,The craftsmanship is great!

Ok,so what would I have to do to the tiger shark to make a dream rod out of it because I don't want to drop $100 + on a model where a little elbow grease and some cutting out of a $20 kit will get me similar results. -
I am building a replica of my mothers first truck,A 1971 Chevy fleetside.I have the kit but I am having some issues finding a color that matches her truck. The color was a 71' color and it was a bronze copper penny, sadly I don't have any pic's of it on hand.I can't really order paint online so if you know of a dupli-color can or a testors/model master/paint commonly found in a hobby shop color please tell me.I have heard of a company that matches paints colors for model car guys but can't remember the site or name of the company. this looks close to the color. http://www.google.co...27&tx=107&ty=66 http://www.google.com/imgres?start=236&um=1&hl=en&sa=X&biw=1024&bih=677&tbm=isch&tbnid=d3Du3A7Hp2wxBM:&imgrefurl=http://www.bobschevytrucks.com/1971-chevrolet-truck-color-sales-brochure.html&docid=hap_Ms-UmG2sYM&imgurl=http://www.bobschevytrucks.com/images/T/PSB71_big.jpg&w=395&h=500&ei=Yq_DT4iDGoWE8QSJ0924Cw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=784&vpy=240&dur=984&hovh=253&hovw=199&tx=130&ty=116&sig=101282864649978660081&page=16&tbnh=156&tbnw=133&ndsp=16&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:236,i:149

Is the AMT tiger shark dream rod the same as the Car craft dream rod? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&hash=item4845069e0c&item=310395706892&nma=true&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&rt=nc&si=wdUW3cmA6f2%252FVCQQAMz65qucNRE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc#ht_5609wt_950 http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMT-38527-TIGER-SHARK-TOY-FAIR-MODEL-CAR-KIT-1-25-NIB-/270650065317?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUA%26otn%3D5%26pmod%3D180870413800%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D8737719375406923858#ht_988wt_814 Is the openings in the front fenders the only difference?

I agree with the sharpie idea,Just two or three passes over the trim and it will look like weather striping.

Indy 500 today... does anyone care?
Austin T replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
To me racing was cool way back before I was born in the 50's-70's,I wish I could go back in time and see some of the old races I have read about.I am currently reading a book called "Bolton's best:A collections of Auto racing stories" It's a collection of stories about the golden age of NASCAR from the eyes of a news writer.I have tried to watch modern Nascar and other racing, but I just can't get past how boring it is most of the time. Some guys enjoy it,and I respect it,I just don't care for the new stuff.
