  1. I have the x20a thinner that was recommended by the website. Will start out with 2:1 and go from there. thanks for the info
  2. This is my first time using Tamiya acrylic paints. Do I need to thin it before using my airbrush to spray it? if so, what ratio do i use. thanks
  3. well, had some stuff come up, so build has to go on back burner until I have more time for it...hopefully before end of the year,...
  4. looks like its going to be killer...going to be watching this one for sure
  5. haha actually thought about going with a pink pearl when I first bought the kit, but going black for sure now. My airbrush decided to quit working yesterday, so waiting for another one along with the gloss black paint...I have checked out some of your vids online, and they are great...going to be checking more of them out as soon as I am done here...thanks and keep checking back
  6. Going to be building this 59 Cadillac. is the first build in about 5 years. Wanting to keep the customization to a minimum, but stuff that is noticeable. May take a little while to complete, but going to try and have it done in about a week, maybe two. Got as much done tonight as I could (waiting on more paint to come in) and will be updating this as things progress...thanks for checking it out and any comments and/or suggestions are welcomed... here is a couple pics to give an idea as to what I am going for. Gloss black w/ flat black interior (with touches of chrome and aluminum), thinking black wheels w/ chrome lip and ls2 engine....but could change as build progresses haha Now finished and Underglass http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68295
  7. not my style...but that is one CLEAN build...same with the Nova...nice work man
  8. I have thought about doing this too. I am mainly just wanting to make a reg cab short bed as I have a 1:1 I want to try and replicate. I planned on getting the extended cab model and cutting it down. Could you explain exactly were you cut it and how you put it back together? thanks
  9. looks nice....i agree they don't style them like this anymore and its a shame... I just wish my Diablo kit had the chrome wheels to use...will post a pic as soon as I get it built.
