Wow!!!! I haven't been to Drastic's in a Very Long time!!! HAHAHAHA!! Bob Black was President then LOL!! that's been a Minute!! I have part of that kit too. but I didn't get that grill in it. I have the custom grill & the Shelby grill, but no GT grill. My 66 Fastback body has had all the scripts sanded off, and the drivers door cut open. Some one added the Custom Head light block out on it too. I'll share some pictures of it later. i will probably end up cutting the nose off it and replacing it with one from a 66 Coupe. Thanks for the info & link
No on the GT 350, The quarter vent was already cut out when i got it. and as far as the GT grill, I'll have to locate one. and as far as I know AMT never made a "GT" grill. they did offer a set of fog lights that you glued on to the stock grill. Chance of finding those 51 years later are slim to none. So it will probably end up being a Non GT. I'm waiting on a AWB mustang kit to get he so i can Cut the Quarter vent out to replace the Missing vent on my original body.
Here's a AMT 1966 Mustang Coupe, I built to replicate the one my dad had back in 1966. I used a set of styled steel wheels from a '66 Fairlane GT kit. It's a factory Ford color "Dark Ivy Green Poly" (metallic) Thanks for Looking & Enjoy.
Thanks James, yes probably, will wore and plumb the engine. When I started this one, I didn't have any of those supplies. I'm loaded down with them now. Hehehehehe!!
Thanks James. I think this one will be a kind of "Restro-mod when I'm done. Defiantly keeping these wheels though, since they were original to the Mustang Kit.
Here's another Oldie but Goody. Here's my AMT 1965 Mustang 2+2, I'm working on. I used a set of styled steel wheels from a AMT 1966 Fairlane GT kit, I'm also having to use a later issue AMT 66 Mustang Coupe 289, but most everything else is from the original kit. Thank for looking & let me know what you think about it.
A little something I've been working on, between projects. It's a Original issue AMT 1966 Mustang Convertible/coupe, re-builder. I haven't decided on a color yet, but it will come. LOL!! I'm kind of leaning towards Black with Red interior, and a Red GT stripe along the Rocker panels. Not sure yet. I also added a couple of "before" pic's at the end. Thanks for looking, let me know what you think.
Snake I got this one about 12 years ago, from Steve Kohler, I think he owns,or works for, Star Resins now. And it is a Awesome Casting, mine just got all warped up, after I got it. it was all my fault, too!!
Thanks Michael, Yes it is the Optional engine for 3-N-1 AMT 34 Ford truck kit, the same as the Lindberg 34 Ford Truck kit. I did have to use different exhaust Manifolds. I think they're from a 60 Starliner kit.
