  1. David this kit has that late 80's-90's dated custom style interior, and since I'm Leaning towards more of a 60's theme, with the Skirts, WWW chrome Steelies, & lakes. I really don't think it would look right. My buddy Ed did a roll & pleat for the revell 57 Custom. thought about maybe trying to incorporate something like that in it. I was surfing the net looking at some pictures of 57 Sunliners, and ran across a really cool looking Pink & white one. That's Awesome Ron!!!!!!!!! I love it!! Yes, I agree it's way to long, and need to be raised up to the top of the bumper and sink down in the middle to follow the conture of the bumper. So a little re-designing. No big deal.Like I said I didn't have my plan together before I started, it just kind of Happened LOL!!
  2. I didn't have a plan to building this one. I was sitting at the bench and every time I looked up, I would look at this new 2007 issue AMT 57 Fairlane 500 kit. The Next thing I knew it was on the bench, and the Top was off!! LOL!! I've had this resin Up top, for years laying parts box. So, Here's my newest project. AMT 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Sunliner, Mild Custom Cruiser. It will probably end up with Chrome Steelies WWW, a set of Skirts from a Original AMT 57 kit, and a set of lake pipes. I'm not sure about a color yet, but it will come!! IOII I'm good with anything but Red, since I have 3 Red 57 already. hehehe Yeah I like 57 Fords. I had to glue the Doors shut to keep the body form sagging down in the front, and have started Scratch building a Continental kit for it. I'm thinking I'll have to re-group on the Conny kit though, Not really liking what I have so far.
  3. Cool !!! I love the line of the 69/70 Shelby's
  4. Love it!! Shelby built 6 Convertible Mustangs, one was totaled with in a couple of months of being sold. the other 3 that I knew of a few years ago were Documented the other remaining two were unknown, back a few years ago. Awesome build BTW.

  8. Sweeeeeeeet !!! Where's the 4 dr wagon body from? I have a early Flintstone 57 Country Sedan 4 dr Wagon body. I haven't tried it on the Revell Chassis yet. Is that what you're doing? My body has the hood molded shut, if I remember correctly.
  9. Awesome Project.... I have a pretty large Corvette collection my self. I have almost every year from 53 to 78.... plus many Duplicates. and Parts cars. Model on!!!

  12. Thank you Donald. I have a slew of these kits, that I have built over the years. It's probably one of my Favorite kits. I wanted this one to look as good as I can make it. As you can tell by all the stuff I post it's Mostly FoMoCo branded. LOL!!
  13. Thanks David, I learned a trick on these kits a long time ago, take the spindles and turn them upside down, and slam the front to the ground.
  14. WOW!!! I love it!! Looks Killer!!
  15. Sweet!!! Nice Job so Far!!
  16. I got a little more done this evening. I've been working on the stance, and putting the Chassis together. I cut the front shock mounts out of a old junk 69 Fairlane Cobra body, but I'm not sure I like how they look. I also did a little work in the 335 hp 390, for it. No pictures of the engine yet, soon LOL!! Thanks for looking & enjoy...
  17. Larry, both Colors are Testors Enamel. The darker is "Flat Interior Tan" #2738 The lighter color is "Flat White" #1168
  18. Yes the "A" Pillar is supposed to be all chrome. AMT missed that foot note !! LOL!! Thanks I may try that in the tail lights too.
  19. Here where I'm at on the body. I still have a lot to do but I think it's going to be a nice one when I'm done. Thanks for Looking,& enjoy.
  20. Here are a few more.
  21. I found this started kit while looking for another kit I was going to trade off. I started this one about 15 years ago, I shot the paint on it and quit. I don't remember why I quit working on it. Anyhow here it is after a couple of days working on the interior. I wanted this one to be really nice, since I will probably never build another 66 Fairlane. This one will be a GT/A with the stock GT 390 with a automatic trans.
