  1. ...well, when i started playin' with it a month or two ago, it took a couple times[the weird software deal?] G finally set it up, but, he said the other 2 i had made/named were there also[?? see above]and he had made one to, well, set up a named gallery for me...so, i'm gonna try another screen, maybe back to default, and try again... i'll let ya know... thnx Pat..

  3. ...as you should.. nice color combo..
  4. just use a primer, PlastiCote comes to mind... automotive paints aren't 'designed' for plastic either, but...
  5. tried this, tried that... re-sized the pics i was trying to upload[all under 1mb] and still NUTTIN!! dunno.... Harry mentioned that maybe it's the 'comfy' screen....

  7. ok, i'm having trouble loading pics for the Gallery... well, i totally confused... i've been trying to load pics to 'some dirt cars' gallery and i keep getting this error message "#107150 file to large...' so, i went and cropped the pics, and, all are under 600kb...i thought the gallery had a 1mb max?? what am i doing wrong??? i've tried to post from PhotoBucket using the 'insert image' icon above this box, no luck.. i understood that they had to be ON my computer[like the LightSide{as opposed to us, the DarkSide!!}] when i copy/paste and try to paste in the upload/browse area at the bottom of the window and don't get the 'paste' choice.. i'm using the comfy screen... i don't have any probs posting pics in the forums.... i wanna start a gallery... HELP!!!
  8. cool guy... ALSO met him @Toledo a couple years ago... i was gonna mimic mimic your post post....
  9. nice!! kinda Death Race looking...
  10. in 1961, i was spending a week with the grandparents, Gma wanted to get me something to do, so, as we WALKED to the grocery store, we passed a small hobbyshop, hmmmm..."Gma, can we stop in this store??" well, a little later i had my 1st model kit..a 1961 Valiant 4door..got some glue and some purple bottle paint and A brush[that was on friday] and proceded to build the model on the dining room table!! well, monday rolls around, the Valiant's done[paint was probably tacky still!!] and up to the hobbyshop i went!! didn't get anything, well, maybe a certificate of some kind, but, i didn't care... i loved it!! being in 1961, not many people took model pics then, so, no pic...BUT, i got back into the hobby in 1988 building the Tide Monte Carlo stockcar, i was hooked AGAIN!!! i DO have pics of that one... after a couple months[and new/more skils], i went back and added some more detail to it..rollbar padding, tire lettering...
  11. i got DOLLARS!!!!!
  12. you always come up with the cooolest colors!!!
  13. model....nicely done, but, model none the less...
  14. ...but, if it's virgin plastic with NO paint, the bondo WILL stick, won't look pretty, but, some sandpaper... if you put bondo over primer, yes, it will come off [with brake fluid anyway..]
  15. looks verrrry nice Shane!!! just like the real thing!! i may have missed this, but, where/who has those excellent front wheels?? i'm sure i've got a couple Engle Cams decals if needed... doh!! just read post #81 about the wheels...
  16. nicely done!! how 'bout taping a piece of glass over the drivers side?? just half the windshield...
  17. in the past i've had excellent results using 3M 'fineline' blue tape, 1/8"...OR...use Tamiya tape, that stuff is the thinnest i've seen, hardly ANY edge build up...
  18. my right foot has ALWAYS been bigger than my left!! the 1st ticket i got was 85 in a 35!! in my dad's DEMO, 1967 Fairlane GTA...needless to say.... so, how fast...well, i've had my SV to an indicated 140...had a Honda Interceptor 750 up to 149[backed off!!] over the years, many, many, 100mph+ 'runs'...
  19. i use only 'virgin' straws...just swipe them off the cans!!! i work/worked in a parts dept...
  20. wow, amazing!! AND 1/24 1/25 stuff!! now, all i gotta do is get a job so's i can spend some $$..lol
  21. yep, RnD Unique Mini Exotics line...curbside..one of my grails...
  22. good start for an oldfart!! says the other oldfart...lol
  23. couple things... i just soak a 'clogged' nozzle in lacquer thinner and take a blade and clear the 'slit' in the tube at the bottom of the nozzle..also, did you know that the different colors of nozzles 'flow' a different rate?? primer, color, clear...and for 2 tones, i always use the lighter color 1st... something i've done to make it easy to 'de-cant' paint for an airbrush is almost like Ed was doing, i drill out the 'button' to accept those red straws from most brake cleaner/carb cleaner cans, epoxy it to the nozzle and spray into a jar, easier and cleaner than poking a hole in the bottom of the can...
  24. well, i can see another jewel coming!! any idea on color?? i reallly like the box...an old paint stand!! lol if that box could talk!
  25. oooooohhhh...do i see a race for/with a black Charger?? lol excellent save...
