  2. nice build!! i built one a while ago, and, yeah, the decals were, umm, different, some went down fine, some didn't...i used a hairdryer AND solvent.. i 'wired up' the back of the dash, did some seatbelts and paint detail... don't forget the Trans Am cars.. Whistler Mustang, Folgers, etc... those build up nice also...
  3. and easy way is to just elongate the mounting holes in the wheels/backing plates to get whatever 'lowness' ya want!!
  4. when that came out, me and some buds went to an early showing and stayed to watch it 3 times!!! they didn't come thru and shoo ya out like nowadays...
  5. easy rule... enamel over anything... lacquer over lacquer, ONLY!!! 'course, then there's the time i painted a model with Krylon Pumpkin gloss, and like the old fart i am, a couple days later, as i'm into the 2nd coat of clear, to my suprise, it was Tamiya!!! and didn't give me ANY probs!! so, as the Zman said, Krylon is a hot paint and can tolerate a 'cooler' lacquer overcoat...

  9. the ModelMasters new 'one coat' lacquers are great to work with.. a good sub for Tamiya... don't forget acrylic craft paints to detail interior/motor/chassis pieces... the MOST important part is to have FUN!!!
