  2. what about southern Ohio.... the humidity is just right[sic] in fact,Cincinnati it's a riot!!!!! lololol
  3. i'm old enough to know better, but, still young enough not to care....56 and still kickin'.....

  7. well, this thing had been on the bench since '03.... so, rather than put it up[stored away never to be seen!!], what the hay, i'll just finish it!!!! no more detail, nuthin, just finish it!! this kit had given me problems from the git-go...while doing the 1st body/chassis mock-up for the rear suspenion build, i didn't know i had the body a little to far forward...DOOHHHH!!! now the wheelbase was wrong[i thought] so... i re-located the axle forward about a 1/16"....DOOHHH! as i'm assembling the chassis and running gear, i notice the wheels don't really fit the wheelwells....[this is when i found out about the body placement..]so........then, the SOHC Ford kit motor had little to no detail,.so........ while i was building the Boss429, i noticed how similar in size the 429 was to the SOHC, hhhmmmm... got the motor!! so, except for the 429 motor, it's bassicly OTB.....
  8. for me, the 'building' is what i really like.... kinda like the trip not the destination.... i start with the body, if it comes out as planned, then, onward and upward... now, if the body ^%$& up for many different reasons, well, it might be 'punished' and put back in the box and put on the 'bad model' shelf.... Tom Geiger has a novel idea called his 'Amensty Program', pick the oldest thing on the bench, and FINISH it.... as is..... no more detail.....just put it together..... how many projects are within an hour of being done???? i'v got a couple........ as Bob Downie said, the cure for modellers ADD is decals and final assembly!!!!
  9. when it played Cincy, my slotcar club and i sat thru 2 showings before being asked to give up the seats...1st row in the balcony, nothing but SCREEN in front of us...........way cool!!!!! yeah, gonna get the DVD for sure..gift cards are the best!!!

  23. Gregg.... that would be wayyyy cooollll.... then EVERYBODY would be published!!!!lollol heck of an idea.....
  24. i've never had a problem using good ole' brake fluid..... strips any paint, and won't hurt the plastic because it's designed to work with plastic bits in the brake system, i've left bodies for days [read 'forgot'] without any softness, weirdness, et al.....and it won't EAT your fingers!!!! 8)
