  1. Well, I fooled you guys last week but not this time. It's real! And real weird! Next ROM coming MONDAY!
  2. Nicely done... but why do the areas around the bullet holes look like they're sticking out instead of in?
  3. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson went on a camping trip. After a good dinner and a bottle of wine, they retired to their tent for the night. Some hours later, Holmes wakes up and nudges his faithful friend. ‘Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see.” "I see millions and millions of stars, Holmes,” replies Watson. “And what does that tell you?” Watson ponders for a minute, wanting to impress his friend with his own powers of deduction. Finally he replies: “Well, astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three. Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are a small and insignificant part of the universe. What does it tell you, Holmes?” Holmes is silent for a moment. "Watson, you idiot!” he says. “Someone has stolen our tent!”
  4. A lady holding a baby gets on a bus. The bus driver looks at the baby and says to the woman, "Geez, lady... that's the ugliest baby I've ever seen!" The woman is obviously insulted. She walks down the aisle to the back of the bus and sits down. She tells the guy sitting next to her, "That driver just insulted me!" The guy replies, "You should go back up there and tell him off. Go ahead, I'll hold your monkey for you."
  5. Becasue that's when the last Buick customer dies of old age, right?
  6. Amen to that! What a shame that the new Charger wound up looking like a brick instead of that fantastic concept Charger they first showed us.
  7. When I was a kid I used to look forward to the latest issue of Car Model magazine... back then the price was 50 cents (later went up to 60 cents!)... whoa, there went a good chunk of my allowance! Anyway, I was a big fan of Henry Borger's models. For some strange reason, to this day I still remember his feature on the "Angry Man" Maverick pro stocker and his "swirladelic" paint process and his Oscar Koveleski McLaren, among others. But the one model that was featured in the magazine back in those days that really caught my attention was Jim Keeler's "Dodge Fever." That was the first time that I remember seeing a truly superdetailed model featured in the magazine. Jim went so far as to incorporate pistons in the engine! I was in awe of that model. I even built one of my own, but not nearly as detailed as Jim's was (back then I was just a kid and had nowhere near the skills to pull off what Jim had done). But that was the one model that really got my model-building motor revved up.
  8. So you just happened to have ten cans of tuna on hand?
  9. The "Bond girl" in the movie "Goldfinger"... remember her name?
  10. If Carrie Fisher married Jim Carrey would she be Carrie Carrey? If Ella Fitzgerald married Darth Vader would she be Ella Vader?
  11. Yeah, that second one was a little "out there"...
  12. Chuck... ya gotta read the thread before you post!
  13. Here's an older truck I did. I guess I do do trucks after all!
  14. I did a few "what if" restyles of the SSR...
  15. Not me. Don't do trucks much. Actually, not at all...
  16. The hood doesn't fit very well. It's a bit too short. I could have added length to either the front or the back... but I decided to add length to both front and back, thereby keeping the hood hinge centered front to back. I used sheet styrene the same thickness as the hood and added a bit to both the front and the back, then smoothed everything out with Bondo:
  17. Peter, we may disagree on some of the "finer points," but as far as your overall take on things, I'm 100% with you. Your view of the "big picture" is spot on, IMO.
  18. That is some big time work there, buddy! Incredible. Goes to show you how much fun big scale can be... there is a level of detail that you can get to that's flat-out impossible in typical 1/24/25 scale.
  19. Mac. Always have, always will.
  20. Mirror? As if something like this would ever be street-legal???
  21. That thing is bigger than my first house!
  22. It's amazing how hard drive capacity has gone up while prices have gone down. Just think, in a few years 1TB will seem old fashioned. We'll have iPods with more storage than that!
  23. 400 gig storage? That's child's play! I have a couple of 1 TB (terrabyte) external HDS that should give me enough space for a while... BTW... I agree it's a nice idea to keep all the animations out of your sig lines. You can always use an animated avatar if you're that much into the animated stuff...
  24. Holy ######! I'm gone a few hours and a "situation" breaks out! I just saw it, and I don't like what I see. If any member here has any issues with another member for whatever reason... remember that we have a PM function for that! Let's face it, we're not all going to get along all of the time, but let's at least keep our personal posts exactly that–private and personal, via PMs.
