  1. Hmmm... of all the "new" pop music stars, I think Adele is actually pretty talented. I'd rather pay Miley Cyrus to shut up and go away...
  2. BTW... am I the only one who wonders why GM killed off Pontiac but kept Buick? Shouldn't it have been the other way around?
  3. That's a good looking car, "Buick" or otherwise.
  4. Ok, here's the deal. If I win, I will mail every forum member a check for $1,000. Every member. So come on guys, and root for me! Go, ME!
  5. A billion dollars won't get you a country. Maybe a very small island. Maybe.
  6. Very nice. One of the coolest American cars ever, IMO.
  7. Here are the bathroom break laws, state by state (yes, the laws do vary from state to state). http://www.dol.gov/whd/state/rest.htm
  8. It'a a WIP in the Big Boyz section. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/104985-pocher-1933-bugatti-type-50t/#comment-1482804
  9. Interesting trivia factoid: Bowie's birth name was David Jones, but in the '60s, Davey Jones of the Monkees became a big star, so "David Jones" changed his name to "David Bowie" to avoid confusion with the Monkees star. Yep... it's true...
  10. Actually I'd have to add a few different faces on my "Mt. Rushmore of Rock," but even though I was never a fan, I admit that David Bowie was a huge figure in pop/rock music–as much an icon as the artists you mentioned. Sad to see a man check out at the relatively young age of 69, but seeing as how he was battling cancer... maybe this sounds weird, but I think maybe he's in a better place now.
  11. I don't see the little LED lens openings...
  12. Yeah, looks like some people are expecting me to do it... I dunno... I have a 1/8 scale Pocher Bugatti already in the works. Don't know if I want to do this one too. We'll see.
  13. Yep, that definitely looks like a Chuck Most creation!
  14. Hmmm... somehow I missed this thread until now. So let me just say... WOW! That is a beeeyoooootiful model of a beeeyooooootiful car. Nicely done, Dann.
  15. I give you points for using colors that you don't see every day on cars like this. Definitely some "outside the box" thinking going on there. But you need to get some transparent red and paint those taillight lenses!
  16. Of all the weird stuff David Bowie did during his long career, this has to be the weirdest...
  17. There's no accounting for taste. As long as they're spending their own money and not mine, I say more power to 'em.
  18. Never been a fan, but sad to hear of his death. Another music giant gone...
  19. It's on my list!
  20. I guess I don't enough about drag racing classes...
  21. Yeah... in 1985! That was in the last century!
  22. Not sure how many races a V6 would have won...
  23. The Lions actually had a really good second half of the season. Didn't they go something like 6 and 1 or so after a terrible start of their season? And hey... they beat the Bears last week!
  24. Don't feel bad. Here in Chicago, Bears fans have been watching a bad team lose in lame ways for years! And our winters aren't much better than yours are!
  25. Ok, let me start by making it clear that I absolutely hate, hate, HATE shopping and malls and crowds and that whole scene in general. I much prefer doing my shopping online, but sometimes you just have no choice but to go out into the real world... And what happens many times, as if shopping itself isn't unpleasant enough, I'll get back to my car in the lot and see that the genius who parked in the spot next to me has left about 5-6 inches between his car and mine. With a car like mine (2-door coupe), the doors are really long and you need a lot of space to swing them open far enough to get in the car. Sometimes I can barely squeeze into my car when these clowns are leaving me so little space to open my door. And sometimes it's not even the other guy's fault. Many times I've been in lots where the guy next to me was perfectly fine, parked perfectly well in between his lines, and there was still not enough room for me to open my car door. I'm pretty sure that store and mall owners are making the parking spaces narrower, by painting the lines closer together than they used to, just to cram in the most number of cars possible.
