  1. Information you should have put in your post. Not my cup of tea either, but a neat model!
  2. You're right that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but you did a fantastic job on it!
  3. No matter what you use it for, remember that white glue has very little holding power on plastic or metal. Very little. White glues are meant to glue porous materials like paper, cardboard, or cloth. They are not designed to glue plastics or metals.
  4. I agree, but I don't think his goal is absolute accuracy. I think the guy just likes cars and likes woodworking, so he combined the two. No, they're not really "accurate," but they're pretty cool! I've done my share of woodworking, so I can tell you that it takes a heck of a lot of talent and skill to create something like that.
  5. I don't see any kit like that for sale there.
  6. Both are good for you...
  7. Ok, you're really going to have to explain how that steering linkage can possibly work. Because it can't...
  8. Why not? Afraid you'll get wet?
  9. Congratulations! You are one of the few members here who didn't say "loose" a washing machine. I swear, I think that maybe it's some sort of rule that everyone who builds model cars isn't allowed to know the difference between "lose" and "loose!" You can lose your keys... and your pants can be too loose... but you cant "loose" your keys!
  10. I know... I'm completely unreasonable!
  11. I saw a '64 or '65? Lark station wagon, bright red with a white roof. Edit: '61? It looked just like this, but the roof was white:

  14. Panel gaps are a bit too wide, but otherwise a beautiful model!
  15. Did you read the first post?
  16. I think their financial guys decided to go with mac and cheese and meatballs instead... Mac and cheese is dirt cheap, and you can make meatballs out of just about any kind of... um... "meat"...

  18. My son owned a couple of late '90s Camaros. The engine was set so far back that getting at the rearmost spark plugs was basically impossible... yet there was about a foot and a half of space between the radiator and the front of the engine. Normal maintenance on the engine was impossible, you had to take it to a shop, and because of the ridiculous engineering, a simple spark plug replacement was a major operation.
  19. Hey, if I can't be pedantic, what fun is there?
  20. My point was that there's no such thing as a plane without wings, if by "plane" we're talking airplane... as in fixed-wing flying machine, as the "Planes without wings" topic title suggests... Of course there are other flying machines without wings, but they're not planes. And technically, a rocket doesn't really "fly" any more than a bullet "flies."
  21. A plane without wings would be a rocket.
  22. Yep. The internet does. A google search is always step one whenever you need info and photos.
  23. Wow... you must be a really heaver user...
  24. Another outstanding model. You really have that weathering thing down. Beautifully done.
