Upholstery on the front and rear fenders?
-
Right, Brooke Burke. That's her.

To answer your question, you remove the flash by simply bending it back and forth until it breaks off, then clean up with files and/or sandpaper. You can clean the surface with steel wool, which will get into all the crevices better than sandpaper would.

I moved it. No problem.

What's that black stuff on the Imperial?

Lake Mead is a manmade lake formed by damming the Colorado River (Hoover Dam). They built the dam to provide a source of hydro-electricity for the southwest, which was growing by leaps and bounds back then and creating a huge demand for electricity. Lake Mead is the byproduct of Hoover Dam, but the dam has nothing to do with water supply. The Colorado is dependent on snow melt, and of course, that varies from year to year. But the water level of Lake Mead has been dropping. I was there several years ago, and I remember seeing that "bathtub ring" where the water level used to be.

What did you see on the road today?

That is a rare sight! Even in Cali. -
Speaking of bogus bands... One of my favorite bands is INXS. They have a ton of great songs that I really like. Anyway, you all know by now that their lead singer, Michael Hutchence, died several years ago under, uh... "mysterious" circumstances. Let's just say that. So I remember a TV reality show that was hosted by Brooke Burns (I think that's her name, she also co-hosted "Dancing with the Stars" for a while?) where the remaining members of INXS were looking to find a new lead singer. It was sort of like "American Idol" except the judges were all members of INXS and the contestants sang nothing but INXS songs. I remember that they did pick a new lead singer, but I seem to recall that it didn't work out and they fired the guy (or he quit, depending on whose story you want to believe). I don't know if INXS is still an active band or if they've called it quits, but they put out some really cool music over the years.

Correct, Lake Mead. But the water level is dropping... http://www.cbsnews.com/news/lake-mead-is-shrinking-and-with-it-las-vegas-water-supply/

No hurry. We'll be here when you get back up and running.

Why? What difference does it make what material the body is made of?

We'll be patient...

Right, if you pay "extra" above your required monthly payment, that goes toward the principal and you can really shorten your mortgage and save a lot of $$$ on interest payments–without refinancing. Of course, the trick is that you have to be able to pay more than the required amount. A lot of people just don't have an extra few hundred unused dollars every month that they can throw in with their mortgage payment.

They have the same rules here for branch pickup. You practically have to giftwrap the stuff before they'll take it!

Yes!

I read once where Don Pardo did his SNL intros live every Saturday night... but on those occasions when he was unavailable for whatever reason, they actually used a Don Pardo impersonator to do the intros. I am a huge SNL fan... since day one. And I have often noticed that the intros sounded a bit "odd".... maybe those were the times they used a Don Pardo impersonator? And who will do the intros this fall? Should be interesting to see who they pick.

Nobody lets you refinance in place. Every refi is a new loan (whether 15, 20, 30 year or whatever you want). No way around that... no lender will let you refi an existing mortgage at the point it's at; it's always starting over again from square one, because letting you refi in place would benefit you, not the lender. So they don't allow that. But... since my new monthly payment is $200 less than it was, I can always continue to pay my "old" monthly amount, and everything over and above my new monthly payment goes directly to pay down my principal. So in effect I can cut my new mortgage down by continuing to pay my old monthly payment and taking that chunk out of my principal every month... in effect creating a quicker payoff. Or if money is tight, I can just pay the new monthly amount. It's up to me, that's the nice thing. If I have the $$$ to make a larger monthly payment, the "extra" goes right towards the principal... but if money is tight that month, I only owe the new smaller monthly amount.

I got one of those deals from my existing mortgage holder where I can refinance for no cost, no appraisal, no credit check, no nothing (because I'm an existing customer and already have an existing mortgage with them). I didn't even have to fill out any paperwork. All I had to do is sign a few forms that they FedExed to my house, and send them back in the prepaid return envelope. I "closed" in about five minutes and didn't spend one dime. My village even offers free document notarization to residents, so even that didn't cost me anything. How could I pass up a deal like that? My new rate is low (because I have an excellent credit score), but not quite the "rock bottom" rate I might have found if I shopped around. But on the other hand, I paid no points, no appraisal fee, no origination fee, no fees, period.

Ditto. A very cool look.

Also ditched the "home phone" altogether and am now cell phone only. Another monthly bill has disappeared!
-
I closed on my mortgage refinance today. My monthly payment has gone down by $200.
-
Nah. It's not worth getting any sort of bureaucracy involved. Not worth the hassle.

Then we'll have to start a new three...
