Marshall, no apology necessary. I was confused and thought that you had started this thread. When I realized my mistake I edited my post, but not before you read it. My mistake. You have nothing to apologize for, it was me that was wrong.

Ok, another minor irk, but... people who don't understand the concept of "right turn on red" and sit there throughout the entire traffic light cycle, waiting for the green before they make their turn... even if "the coast is clear"... Is there some sort of law that states all clueless drivers must be located in the Chicago metro area?

Have you actually read anything I've posted? I have no connection in any way to McD other than I buy my morning coffee there. I don't eat their burgers or McNuggets or anything... just the coffee. If you don't like the food at McD, that's fine! Nobody ever said you have to like it.
-
That is a survey regarding consumers' opinions of the taste of the product. Not their opinion of the quality of the product. I never said I'm a big fan of the food at McD... in fact, the only thing I ever get there is my morning coffee. But all these silly rumors about cow eyes and pink slime, etc., are just that–silly rumors. IMO, McD on the whole does it right. I don't buy their products (aside from their coffee), so I'm not some sort of cheerleader for them. I just think it's weird how so many people insist on believing in all of these stupid urban legends regarding McD, when there is absolutely no truth to them, and no facts to back them up.

The meat was sold by a Chinese meat supplier to McD, KFC, and Pizza Hut restaurants in China. Not in the US.
-
I know at this point I'm just being redundant, but that is a beautiful job you did with that kit!
-
Obviously you didn't read the previous posts. No Chinese imported meat or chicken in US McDonalds locations. Click on the link in post #23..

Another longstanding urban legend is that McDonalds can legally claim that their beef is "100% beef" because the supplier they buy their beef from is named the "100% Beef Company." Another urban legend claims that McD used ground-up cow eyeballs to extend their beef. But the fact is they'd be stupid to do that, because cow eyeballs are actually much more expensive than beef, because they are used in all sorts of medical research. Of course, that has all been debunked, but some people refuse to accept reality and prefer to hold onto their misconceptions, no matter how goofy they are. Now, Spam, on the other hand....
-
According to the McD website, all the beef they use is 100% beef, no fillers, extenders, or any additives. With all the regulation and watchdogs and generally overly-litigous society we have, I doubt they would lie on their website. http://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en/food/food_quality/see_what_we_are_made_of/your_questions_answered/meats.html I agree that fast food is not the most healthy choice for your daily diet, but it's not quite the "garbage" some people insist that it is.

The "tainted meat" story is about a Chinese meat company selling old meat to Chinese McD, KFC, etc. The whole story takes place within China, not here. McDonalds doesn't import meat from China for use in US locations. No, I don't own McDonald's stock. Heck, I don't even eat McDonalds food at all! But we should at least stick to the facts of this story before spreading rumors about "Chinese meat" in our hamburgers here.

The problem is you only are allowed a very small amount of storage space here for photos; that space is used up very quickly. Posting your photos here as links, while the actual photos are sitting on a photohosting site, eliminates that problem.
-
That's the way to do it. Let a photo hosting site host all the photos, then just post the link here. That way we see the photos here but they are all parked on the photo hosting site's server and not this one. Why is Photobucket a "pain?" It couldn't be easier.

Some are Aurora... some are Minicraft...a few are Entex (or some variation, they were issued over the years under several brands), the Fiat F2 race car is a Pocher. Each of these was originally posted in the Big Boyz section, and each with a detailed step-by-step WIP if you're interested. Here is just one example: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83483

Oh yeah! Big time. And I added a lot of scratchbuilt details to each of them. For example, I built the ladders on the fire truck of real wood. I added scratchbuilt tops to a few of them. Most (not all) of these kits are very simple and basic out of the box.
-
They are all long out of production, most date from the '70s. The only place to find these kits today is on ebay, and they only pop up once in a while.

Maybe the sky is green in Japan? Regardless of what they call that color, it looks perfect on a '50s era car.
-
I was wondering about that, too. Figured it was a typo, but if not, that's a pretty odd "sky" color!
-
That is absolutely spectacular! Beautiful in every detail!
-
I like the detail on the chassis and engine. Nicely done... And welcome aboard the crazy train!

And one more, this time 1/8 scale...
