Yes, back in the 60s, I think, a tornado touched down within city limits on the southwest side near Midway Airport. As far as I know that's the only time a tornado touched down within the actual city limits.

ok, here's something very weird I found after I clicked on the link that Nxr posted. Robert Plant and Alison Krauss doing "Black Dog" in a very un-Zep way! Not sure what to make of it...

It's the same seven notes repeated over and over and over and over again. It's 10 seconds of music stretched out to 3:40...

I've been to AZ several times. I'll take hot and dry (AZ) over hot and humid (IL) any day! One of the things I remember, weatherwise, was one evening while I was staying at the Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix, probably around 10 PM or so... it was hot, dry, and not a cloud in the sky that I could see... but in the distance you could see lightning going off constantly. No thunder, no rain, no wind... just lightning. Weird. I had never seen lightning without thunder or rain before!

How about the engine in the Revell Orange Crate?

I just looked them up on youtube. It turns out I have heard them before! I know the song "If I Die Young," I just didn't realize who it was. Also liked several of their other songs. You're right, they are similar to LBT in their sound. But for me, I prefer LBT's Kimberly over TBP's Kimberly...

The Bears-Ravens game started at noon. Then the weather delay and the tornado scare. The game just ended at 5:30 local time.

Every time we get weather like this, I ask myself the same question: What am I doing living here???

Tornadoes hit at least two towns about 30 miles SW of Chicago (Washington, Coal City)... extensive damage, and the storm was moving in a straight line directly towards downtown (that's why they ordered Soldier Field to be emptied), but it weakened as it hit Chicago. No tornadoes in the city, just a lot of wind and a LOT of rain. This sort of thing isn't supposed to happen in November!

And as usual for our crazy weather her... the sun is now shining brightly.

Wow... they have just stopped the Bears-Ravens game and ordered all the fans in Soldier Field to leave their seats and get into sheltered areas of the stadium, due to possible tornados on the way. It was on the ground just a few minutes ago just SW of Chicago. This kind of weather is common here in the spring, but very unusual in mid-November. Crazy...

I'm waiting for some custom-made decals to come through the mail... should be any day now. Once they get here, I can decal the main body and put this one all together. Edit: Just checked the mailbox (6 PM)... no decals came today. Looks like early next week, then, when this baby gets wrapped up and put "Under Glass."
