I'm saving them for last... but they won't be forgotten. Meanwhile, here's some progress on the main body. Decals still to come. Once again, no decals for the gauge faces, so I had to hand paint the detail on them, and add clear 5-minute epoxy "glass." The loose lines in the back will ultimately be hooked up to the pump. The kit supplies black vinyl tube for these lines, but I thought that "hard lines" might seem more appropriate, so I scratchbuilt them out of brass rod to extend down to the rear deck, where the flexible lines will continue on (to the pump):

Well, let me put it this way. If I had only heard LBT without ever seeing them, I'd like them, because I like their sound. I love groups that do harmony vocals, and LBT fits right into that category. But after seeing them, let's just say that Kimberly is mighty easy on the eyes! (I'm a sucker for cute blondes, especially talented ones)...

You're right, I do like a variety of music. For example, two of my all-time favorite bands are the Eagles and Pearl Jam. I think you'd agree they occupy slightly different places in the musical universe... ... but I love them both. But I've never really gotten into the Phish sound. Just not really something I like. Never liked the Grateful Dead either (sort of Phish's musical ancestor). I can't explain it... I just like what I like!

So... how did you get that finish? It's obviously not foiled. Metalizer?

How can you possibly be polishing the paint 10 minutes after spraying it? I have had parts in a dehydrator for many hours, even days, before the paint was really dry.

I couldn't care less whether they're "country" or not. I really don't care about what category any artist is supposed to represent, I care about what they sound like. I love Pink Floyd. Are they a rock band? Are they "progressive rock," whatever that means? Are they "space rock" or "art rock" or who knows what else? Who cares! I like their sound. Same with LBT and all the other musicians I like. Category... genre... where they belong in the overall scheme of things doesn't matter one bit to me. I listen to music, I don't look at who or what they're "supposed" to be as defined by others.

County. Pop. Country pop. Crossover. Call it whatever you want, I couldn't care less about the label. I just like the sound. And that Kimberly chick...

I never noticed before how a catfish has such a "Jaguaresque" grille!

The kit wheels are molded in a brown plastic that has some sort of grain in it. They actually look a lot like real wood, so all I did was add a black wash to bring out the detail.

I've gotten a ticket for having them. Edit: I looked it up. Aftermarket tinted windows were illegal in Illinois until 2009. I was ticketed before 2009.
