  1. From the Iwata website: Q: How much air is necessary to operate an airbrush? A: 0.5 cubic feet of air per minute (cfm) at 30 pounds per square inch (psi) will propel an airbrush. You can work at lower or higher pressures, depending on the materials sprayed and the effects desired, but the cfm requirement generally remains the same. http://www.iwata-medea.com/index.php/support/faqs_air_sources_and_compressors
  2. I know I can be a pain in the you-know-what about posting stuff in the right place... but Rancheros and El Caminos can go in either the car or pickup section as far as I'm concerned. I'm not going to move them. Technically they are cars, they're based on car platforms, they are the same as their passenger car brothers under the skin... but some people see them as trucks, and that's ok by me. Just don't ask about what the best type of paint is, and post it in "Under Glass!" (yes, it's happened)...
  3. Looks very good to me. Nice clean and sharp foil work. I can see the thinness of the paint if you look along the panel lines, but aside from that, a very nice job. I'd say it's a keeper!
  4. Also... and this might be considered nit-picking... but the way the seat is angled, the rider would basically be sitting up against the rear fender... not too comfy on the ol' tailbone! Maybe you could work up a seat that has a little bit of a back rest or flips up a bit in the back so the rider wouldn't have his backside up against the fender.
  5. It looks like you drilled a bunch of holes in the forward downtube, and there's almost nothing left of the tube, there's just a little sliver of tube left around the holes... the holes are almost the same diameter as the tube. In real life that would be a no-no. Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me...
  6. That's cool! I like the color scheme. different than the typical big rig colors you see all the time.
  7. Order it online and use $0 in gas.
  8. Skiving. Bike looks great, nice detail! But there's not much meat left on that front tube...
  9. It is. But he had a beautiful shape to work from.
  10. The drawback to a traditional razor saw is that it can only make straight cuts. If you want to cut a curve you need to either use the back side of your Z-acto blade and "cut" by scribing, or use a mini saw with a very thin blade. http://www.modelsandhobbies4u.com.au/tools/tools/mini-razor-saw.html
  11. I especially like the back end... the way the lights and bumpers have been integrated and the rear roofline... very nicely done. I agree, I'd ditch the inner headlights, though, and stick with the classic single headlight look.
  12. Now that's the new F-Type! Or at least it should be.
  13. That thing is cool in some sort of bizzare way!
  14. Yup. Pretty hard to improve on perfection (ok, maybe not perfection, but about as close to it as any automaker has gotten). And of course I'm talking styling, not mechanicals or ergonomics.
  15. Oh yeah! Beautiful!

    Some rust

Along with actually posting some pictures, you need to post your full name where it says "Full Name" there under your avatar. Or in your signature line. Either way. It's a forum rule.
  17. No, it's not an early Beetle! No, it's not a Chrysler Airflow! It's a 1937 (through 1040) Adler 2.5 liter "Limousine" (Limousine in reference to it having four doors, not that it's a limo in the way we think of limo). Who got it right: ChrisR george53 Chillyb1 Mr Chips Badluck13 GHolding Kenny Johnag4004 Junkman
  18. I think we all know who would give the longest answers.... Right, Art?
  19. Very impressive. Looks like magazine feature material to me (hint, hint)...
  20. I think it would be up to the individual member to answer the questionnaire. I mean, we put out the questions, and whoever wants to answer them can do that. But it's all up to each individual member whether or not to participate. We wouldn't be interviewing anyone, we'd just put out the questions and see who answers.
  21. I emailed Gregg, waiting to hear if he'll ok this. (Remember, it's his forum, not mine). If I get the ok from Gregg I'll make this thing a reality.
  22. Yes, we would need a prepared set of questions, same questions for everyone. I agree it would be very interesting, but of course it would all be strictly voluntary. So some people might not want to respond. But that's ok, I think plenty of them would want to take part.
  23. I hate pinned topics. Nobody pays any attention to them. I'd rather have this as a subsection in the "Community" area.
  24. If we do it, I'd like it to be an actual forum section, not just a thread that could fall down the page and disappear if nobody adds anything for a while.
  25. I've never thought of it before. Sounds like it might be a neat feature, probably would fit best in the "Community" section. Maybe call it "Getting to Know You" or "Builder Bios" or something like that. I kind of like it. Let me see what Gregg thinks.
