  1. I'm thinking we need a new section called "Danno's Room"...
  2. No, that was the April issue. This one has Tim Boyd's phantom Super Bee "Bee Camino" and Marcos Cruz's Impala on the cover.
  3. Hmmm.... that's a whole lot of yellow!
  4. All of the above.
  5. I thought about combining the separate NASCAR and Drag categories into one "Competition" category. I may still do that.
  6. If you knew how many posts I have to move every day, you'd know why I don't take the time and write every person who's post I moved a personal letter of explanation. For example, I think moving a post about how to use a certain primer from "Under Glass" to "How Do I?" (yes, people post questions about primer in "Under Glass"... ) should be explanation enough.
  7. If you were on a stamp collecting forum, and they had a section for "US Stamps" and a section for "Foreign Stamps," I guess you'd post the foreign stamps in the US stamp section, because they're all stamps, right? In your library, the fiction books and the carpentry books and the cookbooks would all be mixed up together, because hey, they're all books, right? Good luck to anyone trying to find a particular book in that library... The whole point here is to keep things separated so that it's easier for people to find what they're looking for. Some people build mostly (or only) cars... some mostly (or only) trucks...some a little of both... but no matter which one you're more interested in, keeping them separated makes it easier for everyone to know where to find what. It's not a matter of certain models not being "allowed" in certain areas, it's about keeping things organized. I really don't get why some of you keep arguing against this. It makes no sense to me. And for those of you who ask, "well then, why not a separate section for show rods? Why not a separate section for dirt track racers, etc.", the answer is, it's a matter of finding a balance between having enough separate categories to make it somewhat easy to find things and going overboard and having a separate category for every possible thing. Like I said earlier... there is no way possible to arrange this place to please everyone. I thought about it logically, and this is what I came up with. Is this the absolute final? Not necessarily. I'm always open to suggestions, and things may change yet (but probably not very drastically). But let's live with this for a while and see how it goes. I really think that most members will not have a problem with the new layout.
  8. I posted a poll in the Trucks section about this to get some opinions.
  9. I did things this way because I think this breakdown works best for the most people. Not all will agree, of course... I knew that going in, but I actually put some thought into this, I didn't just go in and start moving stuff around at random. No way I could do this in a way that would satisfy everyone. But I do think this layout makes sense and should work well. And notice that I pulled the truck section up right below the car section... so now truck guys don't have to go down in the forum "basement" to post!
  10. We never argue, we have "differences of opinion"...
  11. With extra cheese...
  12. El Caminos are cars. But I guess they could be posted as cars or trucks... just use common sense. Motorcycles go in "Other Models." If you would just read the categories and descriptions it would answer all of your questions. It's all spelled out pretty clearly, I don't see why you're having such a hard time getting this? Or are you just in the mood to argue?
  13. We have a section for model cars and a section for model trucks. Don't know how I can possibly make that any clearer.
  14. I thought you were in charge of that...
  15. Right. That's how it was before, no separate "Under Glass" sections for trucks. I may separate them into "On the Bench" and "Under Glass" at some point, but that means going in and literally looking at every single truck post and moving each of them, one by one, into the correct new spot. That's a lot of work and very time-consuming. Maybe I'll do it, though... I have to think about that.
  16. Man, that is one heck of a detailed cockpit! Nice work!

    Diecast?

Nice idea on the door catch thing.
  18. For collectors and/or builders of diecast models.

    32 Chevy

Beautiful model! And your English is better than some of our American members!
  20. If you mean new "skins" to change the way the forum looks, I don't know. That's part of the forum software, and we don't have direct control over that.
  21. A little rearranging of the furniture. Don't panic, anyone... nothing has been deleted, just moved around a bit to what I think is a layout that makes more sense. In fact, you truck guys will notice that I gave you two new forums! More changes coming in the next few days, but they will be very minor. Take a few minutes and get yourself familiarized with the new lay of the land.
