  1. Rich... you have done well.
  2. Final vote: 41 REAL, 27 MODEL. And the answer is... REAL!
  3. I've already posted a ton of my work here over the years. I don't want to do "reruns"...
  4. I plan to finish it. Right now it's basically done except for needing the radiator shell replated; I'll have to send it out to get that done. Aside from that, just a few small details to install and it's finished. I will finish it! In fact a fellow forum member is making me a wooden display base for it right now.
  5. Yes.
  6. I just checked and it's up. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/auction/ I assume that's the site you're talking about?
  7. These are made of Sculpey, but they're pretty expensive. http://stewartdollhousecreations.com/1-24food05 Hey... if they can make them, so can you.
  8. You need to find different friends!
  9. And that includes selling, ahem... "professional" building services. Around here we like to do our own building, thank you.
  10. I was wondering, because you build so many of them! I couldn't imagine all of them on display... you would need a castle to have enough room for that!
  11. Looks great so far. A nice tribute to Davy...
  12. Semi-unrelated question... But do you display all of your built models at home? Where and how?
  13. You're asking on the wrong forum.
  14. Same place that sells the alternator brackets also sells carb linkages: http://stores.scaledreams.com/-strse-55/Carb-linkage-fdsh-Hardware/Detail.bok
  15. You're doing a beautiful job on this.
  16. Absolutely!
  17. There's already a "Jairus birthday" thread open...
  18. Real or model? The answer: REAL!
  19. You don't realize how lucky you are. Twenty dollars a week to many people is a big deal, I guarantee it. Especially when you don't have the extra twenty to spare. It's easy to shrug off gas prices and drive SUVs if you have the money. It's the millions of people who don't have the money that gas prices are a real hardship on.
  20. Day to day ups and downs are irrelevant. You have to look at the overall price curve, and that is going nowhere but up. And if you look at the chart, you can see that the upward trend is increasing greatly. In other words, the price is going higher, faster. It doesn't matter what gas costs today vs. last month or next month. You have to look at the overall trend to see where gas prices are headed.
  21. When gas prices come back down??? Which world do you live in?
  22. I don't think I've ever seen brake calipers positioned like that on a real car... and the fronts are in different positions on the left and right...
  23. Yep. You said it perfectly. The consumer gets screwed, no matter what.
