  1. You can use Future as a "glue" to attach PE parts, but it's a little on the thin side. I prefer clear acrylic paint, applied with a tiny brush. It's thicker than Future and won't tend to run. Future does, however, make a great floor wax. Or is that a dessert topping? Oh, yeah, it's both! Tastes great... and look at that shine!!!
  2. It's true, Tucker got screwed big time from all sides. Sen. Homer Ferguson and the Big Three did everything they could to bring him down, and when the SEC joined the party is was all over for Tucker. Ironically, at the trial he was found not guilty... but by then it was too late. True, the movie takes a bit of "artistic license" with reality, but it's a great movie regardless.
  3. Ok, let's play REAL.... or... MODEL!! (applause, applause...) The answer: REAL!
  4. Great way to keep the dust off them!
  5. BTW, speaking of automotive milestones... if any of you guys have not seen the movie "Tucker: The Man and His Dream" by Francis Ford Coppola, do yourselves a favor and rent it. The story behind the rise and fall of Preston Tucker and his company/car is amazing. One of the best automotive-related movies ever, IMO. Jeff Bridges is great in the title role.
  6. The real question, though, is why did Tucker decide to re-engineer the engines to be water cooled? Maybe because a water-cooled engine is what consumers "expected?" I don't really know, just a guess.
  7. You're not wrong. Tuckers used helicopter engines that were originally designed as air-cooled, but Tucker's engineers converted the engine to water-cooled for use in the car.
  8. Gotta love that "global warming"...
  9. Shawn, that black one is killer! And Peter... great memories, great story!
  10. That wasn't so much an automotive milestone as a business milestone.
  11. And make "shure" your words are spelled 100% correctly or else some smart-aleck is going to correct you!
  12. Oh yeah... '67 Belvedere, one of my favorite cars of all time! Of course that's because it was my first car. Well, not with a HEMI... but at least it LOOKED like that car! Sort of. Kinda.
  13. Google image search, ebay motors, conceptcarz.com, seriouswheels.com... all sorts of websites. But nothing's faster or easier than a google image search. Type in what you want, hit enter and BAM, there you go. Instantly.
  14. Yeah, I think I heard about that one from my sister's nephew's babysitter's Girl Scout troop leader. Funny, that "seven degrees of separation" thing...
  15. Actually I did mean reliability, my mistake. I used the wrong word. But you knew what I meant...
  16. 1961 Jaguar E-Type (XKE here in the states). Styling masterpiece, mechanically not so hot...
  17. '57 Fury. Fastest rusting car ever.
  18. Chrysler Turbine Car. Again, significant milestone or weird footnote?
  19. Amphicar??? Or was that just a weird footnote in automotive history?
  20. How about the Toyota 2000GT? The first Japanese car that could be seen as a "serious" sports coupe, not an econobox.
  21. Mario, knowing your work, this is going to be spectacular!
