  1. There you go, that's better! ( I knew Philadelphia wasn't in New Jersey!!!)
  2. I see there was quite a turnout from Cranky's Workshop!
  3. Your location is listed as New Jersey, not Pennsylvania... Did they move Philadelphia when I wasn't looking?
  4. What they did on their own time is none of our business...
  5. Thankew and goodnight!
  6. I figured I'd give it a try, just for the halibut... I'm sitting here on my perch, floundering around trying to think up fishy car names, but holy mackerel, the sole names I can think of have already been mentioned before.
  7. Why is the back wheel off on an angle like that?
  8. You better believe it...
  9. By the way... whoever voted "Real" after I announced the answer... congratulations. You win...
  10. Yes, this was a pretty pointless thread. If you don't want to trade, fine, but no need to make a big splashy announcement here. Deal with it privately as needed.
  11. Was that back when the US/Canada border was still wide open, before all this terrorism business?
  12. Are you saying that most Texans cain't spell???
  13. Very close vote... as close as possible! 38 REAL, 38 MODEL. Do we need a re-count??? Well, half of you got it right... It's REAL! Next ROM coming Monday!
  14. Yeah, back then the magazine wasn't printed on paper... it was carved on stone tablets!
  15. That's because I already did that...
  16. Good guess! You'll find out tomorrow...
  17. Buying a Hummer and actually using it as it was intended to be used, as you do, is perfectly legit. I'm talking about the people who live in the city, would never dream of going off-road, have no idea what 4-wheel drive even is, and use their Hummer to drive themselves to the tanning salon and back... and take up 2 parking spaces everywhere they go...
  18. From the Department of Obvious Observations comes this Bulletin: Dang! You sure do build some nice models!
  19. Yeah, that's exactly my point. Hummer owners buy Hummers not for the capabilities the car has, but for what they think being seen in one says about them to others. The problem is, the message that Hummer owners think they're sending (look at me, I am cooler than you) is different from the message they actually are sending (look at me, I'm a pathetic dork who needs attention and needs to feel superior to you because I'm so insecure myself!). As far as thrashing my Mustang... not really, not yet. Yeah, the V6 looks more or less identical, and in reality I would have been perfectly happy with one... but the price I found this one for was so freaking cheap that I couldn't pass it by! I still can't believe how little I paid for it... a lot less than the V6 normally goes for!
  20. So why hate the H2 when the owners are weenies? To me a Hummer is a symbol of yuppie wretched excess/conspicuous consumption to the ultimate degree. Every time I see one on the road I can't help but think that the person driving it must be a world-class jerk. And that's not fair of me, because not all Hummer owners are doofuses, but for some reason that's the reaction I always have. How about you guys?
  21. Nah, that would probably have come under the "best Hummer ever" category...
  22. Back to the original post... That is one seriously cool looking car.
