  1. Great looking Lincoln Al...... Haven't seen your posts lately... glad you're OK & back at it.
  2. Welcome to our plastic playground Lee.
  3. Yeah Jim, but it's a LOT more enjoyable.
  4. My wife and I had an enjoyable "indoor picnic" in our air conditioned dining room this afternoon....... Too hot outside to do it on the deck. We had 4 kinds of cheese (cheddar, swiss, pepper-jack and manchego), turkey pepperoni, Ritz crackers, bite sized pieces of seedless watermelon and sweet, seedless red grapes, with a few glasses of wine. Nice, quiet Sunday afternoon...
  5. Welcome to our plastic playground Louis-Laurent.
  6. Yeah Harry, you certainly DID improve on the kit parts. Great work as always.
  7. Wow John, you did a fantastic job on that interior. This car is going to be "killer" when it's done.
  8. Very glad to hear that everything went well so far Bill. We're all pulling for you.
  9. Great job on that engine Tyler.
  10. Great looking car Emmanuel.
  11. Like Wayne, my Optivisor is a great help for tiny close-up work, and I've also been using it for over 20 years. I'm 9 months away from hitting 70, and also hope to soon resume my enthusiasm to work on models.
  12. The most I've ever paid for a sealed new kit is $37 for a '47 Chevy kit. I paid $125 for a Modelhaus resin '58 Ford convertible kit. The most I've ever paid on EBAY was $70 + shipping for a '58 Dodge promo.
  13. Welcome to our plastic playground Ken.
  14. Welcome to our plastic playground Chuck.
  15. We found a local Italian place that makes a pretty good New York style pizza and they'll put anything on it that you want. It's called Montecello's. They make a good white pizza with ricotta cheese, and their Lasagna is very good too.... Plus, they deliver and we're regular customers.
  16. Yeah Joe... I love a good Gyro (pronounced yeero)... That meat sliced off the swarma and LOTS of Tzatziki sauce... Yumm... There's a local place here called My Big Fat Greek Gyro that makes them great.
  17. Sorry Joe, but I've never heard of Jackson Hole for burgers.
  18. I loved White Castle's burgers when I lived in New York, on Long Island. There's none here in western PA though. I also used to love "dirty water hot dogs" when in NY, along with Nathan's hot dogs and fries. I'm no longer a fan of the big 3 fast food burger joints (Mickey D's, BK, Wendy's) as I find the burgers are dried out. Locally I like a place called Max & Erma's for a burger because they're the only place around here that will cook it medium rare which is how I like a fresh made burger. Dunkin Donuts has the best coffee and jelly donuts IMHO. Chipotle Mexican Grill has a dynamite burrito that's like a small football in size. I occasionally enjoy Arby's beef & cheddar sandwiches. As for Mexican food my local all time favorite is Emiliano's.
  19. Welcome to our plastic playground Cary.
  20. Welcome to our plastic playground Stephen.
  21. When I lived in New York, on Long Island, there were several White Castle restaurants there. I love those little burgers....... Used to suck down a "Sack of 10" with no problem. Unfortunately here in western PA there are no WC restaurants but we occasionally find them in the supermarket freezer section...... they're OK, but freshly made are better.
  22. Bill, I wish you all the best with your eye procedure.
  23. Welcome to our plastic playground Scott.
  24. Welcome to our plastic playground Jason.
  25. Outstanding detail work Harry. That dashboard is killer, and your work on the engine is........ well...... just great.
