thanks frank. the rack was made using evergreen rod and metal wire. i just heated the evergreen to form elbows and then drill holes in them to insert the metal wire. pretty simple tecnique. andy

    70 boss 429

heres one i built a year ago for a contest...it took second place. i wasnt a huge mustang fan until i built this one. it has a wired engine with machined pulleys, flocking for carpet and all chrome removed (almost). i didnt like the kit wheels but once the car was lowered a lot and they were sprayed black, they didnt look too bad enjoy!

thanks everyone for the great comments! kataranga, that is a pe grille, and peekay, the carpet is flocking. thanks again everyone. andy
  21. started this one a couple weeks back. engine pulleys, oil fill cap, radiator cap, and beehive filter (not shown yet) were all machined on my mini lathe. the spark plug wire tubes were made by stretching some scrap sprue and then bending and drilling some holes. kinda tired of the bell aircleaners so i used a thickstun unit from RMCOM. nice kit so far except for the heighth of the front end. if you used the lowered rear end (which is the only one to use in my opinion) the lowered front end is too high...so some cutting and enginering was involved to get the right stance. it would be ok if you were to build a tail dragger. so here is what i have so far.
  22. took home a first place with this one also...very surprised on that one. usual wiring and machined items as well as my first attempt at opening a trunk. also first time using alclad. enjoy!
