building this one just to try some weathering techniques. (thanks bryan_m for inspiring me and showing me some techniques). just 100% box stock and not much detailing. here is what i have so far. if anyone has any suggestions on how i should do the wheels and tires please let me know...not sure how to make the wood spokes look old.

thanks guys. bryan, not really sure what they are, i think they are tips for super glue or something. found them at hobby lobby in the model car isle if i remember right.

looked over lunch and both of my kits came with frame mounted tank...guess the trolls must have taken yours is this the new kit that has the option for the 38 model year or is it the last issue with the geren one on the box? grilles are probably the same on both. i have and extra grille and shell (dont know if you need both) for the 37 ford if your are interested in trade (im looking for some 32 front suspensions if you have any to trade)

look-in great. I am building this kit and if I remember right it came with a gas tank that fit in the back of the frame. I also have the last issue of this kit and it also had a frame mounted tank. Will look later. Keep it going.

not much progress but i did manage to spray the engine and get alclad shot on a few pieces.

well apparentley it was moved to pickups and suvs. ?????? i thought underglass would have been the place for it but i guess i was wrong.

thanks. i used the kit intake manifold but made my own injictor units. the stacks came from parts by parks

finished htis one up last night. rat packer kit with testors one coat bronze and urethane clear. wired and plumbed with scratch built headers. very simple kit with a lot of areas that needed to be addressed but all in all builds up pretty nice. THE LAST PIC IS FOR YOU CRAZYJIM...SHINY!

thanks gusy, still up in the air about the color of the bed cover...might just paint it tan and see how it looks. hope to have it recleared in the next day or so and get her underglass shortly after that. stay tuned. andy

i really like both versions...weathering on the first one looks great...i also like the motor choice as everyone has a hemi in it. i think its kind of a shame that you repainted it though...i would of just built another one.

everything is lookin great. is that a buick body with that grille in it or is it something else and where did you get it? been thinking about getting a buick grille and putting it into a hudson.
