  1. Like what you have so far. But the pulleys are wrong. Every one looks about right except for the big one on the drivers side. If you changed it to match the small one on the other side it would be just about right. But it is your build and you can make how ever you imagine it. After all we build these things for fun, right?
  2. Thanks Shardik. The eyelet is a p/e part from modelcar garage and the fuel lines are made from fishing line.
  3. Lowered, custom hub caps, shaved handles and emblems and caddy aircleaner.
  4. Thanks everyone for the kind comments.
  5. Thanks guys for the kind words.
  6. Thanks Todd. I hope to have it finished for the show. I plan on it
  7. The paint is a DuPont Hyundai color with DuPont urethane clear.
  8. fender wells modified to drop the front . also dropped the rear. pegasus crossbars. here is where its at so far.
  9. started this one a while back. modified the steering linkage so that it is stronger...this is my first working steering and it work great. cut the plastic from the bed and added strips and bass wood. the doors didnt want to stay shut so i used tiny magnets and pin heads to keep it closed. here is where its at so far.
  10. Steve, just forget about what they say about the panel lines. They are just jealous that they can't build one that nice. Hope to see it in person some time. By the way, what color is that?
  11. I like it. I would go with the sombreros and raise only the front for a tail dragger look.

Thanks Richard. I didn't sand the wires off because I need it to be box stock for an upcoming contest. Other wise I would have done something else with them.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. This is the recent amt reissue.
  14. Really bad news. I've always had good dealings with Rick. Good products and very fast shipping. It will be missed.

this has been done for a couple weeks...just getting to posting it. 100% box stock...something i dont usually do. paint is testors enamel fifties aqua. i absolutely hate enamel but i thought i would give it another try. this time i decanted it and ran it through my airbrush. i was going to clear it but decided to try buffing for the first time. pretty happy with how it turned out. enjoy. oh, and just ignore a couple of the spots in the paint. my camera lens had something on it.
  16. Looks bad a$$. I would leave the stacks tall and weather it. Just my two cents. Keep up the good work.
  17. Thanks everyone for the great comments. I had a lot of fun with this one. Platerpants, I think I only paid $15 for it at a hobby shop in Omaha.
  18. I picked one up myself. Pretty nice kit other than the horrid engine. It looks nothing like a ford cammer. I am building the austin right now and it's pretty much the same kit. I had to heavily modify the motor to make it look presentable. When I build the willys I will swap engines.
  19. this is the first completed build of the year...lots on the bench though. its 100% box stock. this kit lacks a lot of details and just needed to build something. enjoy
  20. Bill, not much I can say about this build. No words can even say how...I told you I had no words. Hope to see it at the heartland nats. I plan to be there.
  21. ^thats the understatement if the year
  22. Beautiful truck! Hope mine turns out this nice.
