  1. Very nice, clean build Krishna I am hoping to build this kit soon and will use your build as reference. Bob.
  2. Very good Stefan, better job than some of mine Bob
  3. Hi Stefan. From what I understand any bend in a cage is a weaker point. Try to do any connections at the bends, also you could add gussets at those points as well (a gusset is like a triangle piece of sheet plastic/metal). Bob
  4. Wow, some really interesting cars were there. Thanks for the great pics Danny. Bob
  5. I wish what I was working on looked as good as yours does Dave! I should post mine to give you a what "before polishing it up" looks like. Bob
  6. Very nice Bill, right up my ally, concept-wise. Bob
  7. Oh I like that, would love it with a bit lower cowl hood though. Nice build Shane! Bob
  8. I'd be interested Bill. I have been working on the same idea with a Chev body. Bob
  9. I was going to ask how you made the side pipes, then I realized you also had tail pipes. Could I convince you to, ah, show me your bottom? Bob
  10. Great subject and build Dan. Bob
  11. Great link, thanks Harry and Dave Lindsay. I have taken a bunch of under hood shots at the shows I go to and should upload mine somewhere. Bob
  12. If that's true Christian you must moonlight as an American talk show host. About how big is this head David? Bob
  13. Thanks for the comments Rusty and Tony. Few more pics... ...I did so much body work (plane work?) on this build I lost my fingerprints again like when I was working at MDCAN sanding aluminum parts to fit. In the last pic you can see the start of the forward outboard stabilizers. Bob
  14. I'd be happy with the whole build Rusty. Looks real good to me as it is, paint-wise. Now you have to decide on foiling the trim or not, the sister kit to this I couldn't bring myself to do it and maybe mess up the body. Bob
  15. Thanks for the comments Fabrizio, Ray, Erik and Virgil! Here are a few more pics... ...in the background you can see another, unmodified funny car chassis. I'd heard about painting with nail polish, and when my Father passed away he had a whole box full of the stuff (made me go "Hmmm", but then I realized he used the them on his RC aircraft), so I decided to try it out. I hear ya's all now, "Bob! You don't brush it on, you use an air brush!". That would explain why my toenails look so bad 'cause I used a spray bomb. More later! Bob
  16. Started this build about 30 years ago, have been looking for the older pics of the build but have not found them. These pics start about a year ago... ...the funny car chassis was so brittle that all I ended up not fabricating are the zoomie pipes and the tires. Will post more later. Bob
  17. Very well done. Are those tires from the kit? I also like the builds in the background, got a Tiger waiting to be built myself. Bob
  18. Very nice build of a kit I'd like to do. No spoiler or decals looks surprisingly good, good story as well. Bob
  19. Good stuff, great name. The time you put into this build shows. Bob
  20. Thanks Erik for the new pic and info, and again, awesome stuff. Other than the PE parts most people have what is used...and now we have less excuses for doing detail work like this Bob
  21. Wow, you really improved on one of my favorite kits, well done! Bob
  22. Interesting paint choice that really goes well with the rest of this well done model. The detailing on the engine is excellent, any chance you could show us more of it? Tiny hoses, clamps and brackets look absolutely real. Bob
  23. Someone commented to me at a show, "So, you're a cutter eh?". I realized right then that that pretty much is what I like to do the most. I want to build/make what there never was. Bob
  24. Thanks Paul. I almost saw it through...a wall at one point, lol. Bob
