  1. I hated missing the show, not only not getting to enter anything. It turned out my wife's annual company picknic was the same day this year. Complete bummer on the day. It should indeed be there on the tables next year tho. I will post a few more progress pictures today.
  2. Congratulations! I see you made the cover of Modelcars Mag! Way to go!
  3. Took the Ala Kart rear axle, like the looks but not the fact it was upper and lower molded seperate. Stripped the chrome, molded together, and reshot with Alclad Also, the front axle shot with Alclad after the modifications Also, the front firewall in what I am pretty sure is the final configuration, ready for final primer
  4. Got a little more done this weeked but not too many pictures. Here is the first trial shot of the transmision tunnel and the frame showing the crossmember and engine supports from the Ala Kart kit.
  5. always fun to have friends
  6. Excellent, enjoy your time with it!
  7. I got some more done. I cut the molded in tie rod off and made a new one from brass rod, used the ends of the original piece. After Narrowing the front axle, I put the spindles back on using brass the brass rod from previous pics, and trimmed pins will hold them in place allowing them to be posed. Finally, I added sheet styrene to the the fender section to create a floorboard. I have a lot to do, but am planning on trying to have this done by the 21st. Should be under paint this weekend. I will also be leaving the engine block white.
  8. Well, I hope that those have read this post before, use their "content" option, which lets them see that posts to lists they have been watching are updated. I think that activity, and interest can still be generated in it, but even if not, it would still be great to see it through.
  9. I like the back story to the broken light and wheel.
  10. Simply amazing work. I am beyond impressed.
  11. Do you have a Fotki or other gallery page to see more of your work that is the past?
  12. Very nice, but that is NOT a cheap kit. Anyone cast those that you know of? OR, a spare that anyone would be willnig to let me cast?
  13. I like how you captured the Hobby Shop there in the background!
  14. That is looking fantastic! Are you sure that is not 1/12 scale? VERY nice detail work.
  15. I did not mind the green, but this really looks great.
  16. I am originally from Indiana, but work brought me to the Phoenix area about 6 years ago, still here. We have a good model show here in town called the Desert Scale Classic, those folks are putting on that show 04/21/12 this year in fact.
  17. Thanks gentlemen! Thanks for the feedback man. How have you been sir?
  18. The Ala Kart axle needed to be narrowed a bit, so while I was at it, I decided to make new spindles so the front wheels could be posed. I got a lower lip on the cowl to retain the windshield, and started modifying front suspension pieces from the Ala-Kart to use.
  19. A very valid point.
  20. Very realistic wheels, great project in the making
  21. Oh, and here is a shot of the cowl after molding the Milliput on there as well. Now it fits down over the frame/fenders like it should.
  22. Got more done on C-N-Things. Found a seat from an old Monogram kit, but since it was molded in the bucket I had to cut it free which resulted in no sides. I used some two part Milliput putty to mold some in. In this picture below it has the rough coat of primer/filler and still needs sanded. I also am using the 32 grille from the Switchers kit. Also, since this is on the 60s style of custom, I am making a Tonneau cover and then covering it with simulated tuck-n-roll with half round plastruct, still drying in this pic so not yet trimmed.
  23. looks great for a first attempt for sure.
