  1. C-N-Things still on the bench, as well as the new project 32 Ford Baron the exhaust pipes for C-N-Things keep relaxing back, so I made a bracket to hold them where I want them so I can hit them with the heat gun.
  2. I work for the largest auto finance company in the country, Toyota Financial. I have been here for 4 years as of December. I have spent the better part of the last 20 years working for financial firms. I missed a turn somewhere, as I studied to be a recording engineer, and it just did not end up going that path. My Grandfather, Father, abd brother are all auto body men, seems I missed that turn as well! LOL
  3. I do like it! Do you finish these, or just leave them in primer as design studies?
  4. That is certainly a unique area! Are you standing outdoors taking the pic? Do you have enough room to shut the door and work if the weather is bad? I had a similar set up once inside of a closet with sliding doors. You would slide the door back, pull out the chair, and you were kind of sitting out in the room with your legs under the bench in the closet. It was not ideal, but it worked. Cool project!
  5. You have some really cool projects there David, several look Hot Wheels inspired. These are the onees I hope to see get finished some day for sure! I am liking a lot of what I see!
  6. 56 Ford Joker that turned out Gorgeous!
  7. so, you are from Noblesville, IN, wearing a jacket from Ashland, KY. I am from Anderson, IN originally, and have been throught Ashland many times. My father was born in Jenkins, KY and raised in Wise Cnty VA. Small world
  8. Dude, that is fantastic looking! With the Alclad, be sure to shoot it at an angle. Gregg actually posted a short video under modelcarsmag over on youtube. I think there is a link from the forum somewhere as well.
  9. Yeah, sometimes that restraint gets tossed out, which is why I tend be be so slow sometimes! LOL
  10. Glad to see everyone's spaces. Interesting how so many of us end up with only the first few inches of the bench to actually build on! LOL
  11. Well, with enthusiasm like that, already sounds like you are off to a great start!
  12. I would like to see these and more. Let's face it, one of the week points in most kits the lst several years, has been the "no name" tires. I know it has a lot to do with licensing, but I would love to have a nice supply of tires on hand
  13. My local hobby shop is suposed to order it for me, so I am expecting it anytime. My only disappointment with the Tamiya veriosn, is the RHD only.
  14. Looking pretty good. That is one of the next kits I will be picking up, but I am really looking forward to the Aoshima version. with the left hand drive. In the 1:1 world, the FR-S s VERY likely to be my next daily driver.
  15. I like the skirt treatment. I know that some think that the desin has to have the full arch cut out, but I do not like that, I like the subtle treatment you have here.
  16. Simple economics. Sellers see no buyers, so do not list much, thus leaving possible buyers with little options, so they do not stop by, thus again, sellers are not seeing the buyers, and the circle continues. Ebay was so fast at growing, they ate up the initial market share, and it would be VERY hard for any other online auction to now ever offer the same "marker place" of buyers and sellers. Would be nice for other options.
  17. Seriously, would love to see some actual "work in progress" pics, some step by step of what you are foing here,. The oil pan etc look so real!
  18. May not have too, may be able to give them some type of chemical wash that would cause patina etc, very sharp seats for sure
  19. Wow! Those production comparisons are shocking. It is a wonder that model companies bother to manufacter a new kit at all. There is no wonder then that they may opt not to do a trade show if indeed espenses are not worth it. Honestly, that is shocking how low those numbers are.
  20. Just snapped these this morning with the wife's phone. In my old room, I had this table as a second desk, and an "L" corner desk as my main desk, but it did not survive a recent move as well as a bunch of trophies and childhood builds. I would like more work space at some point, and would love a sink, but for now I would settle for more lighting. the spay booth to the right, with spare parts etc below unpacked kits and parts, waiting on shelves, more in the closet as well Will personalize the room more over time.
  21. That indeed is a great looknig build, PLEASE be sure to post some more pics!
  22. I really like that!
